probably not great. you are below the GPA median and you are pushing it close to the deadline. I'd say WL.gothamm wrote:3.3/162

My scholarship info was on the first page in the packet I received. No mention whatsoever in the generic emails.credence023 wrote:I got an e-mail that said "once again, congratulations!" so I know I've been accepted. if you applied earlier you would probably be in rather easily though. is there a reason you're taking so long?gothamm wrote:glitter178 wrote:probably not great. you are below the GPA median and you are pushing it close to the deadline. I'd say WL.gothamm wrote:3.3/162

Re: Loyola LA 2011
i am waiting on a transcript to be sent (from a #$%$% city college where i took ONE FREAKING SUMMER CLASS..told them back in november to send it in)...without it LSAC wont create a GPA file for me. What a stupid way to delay applications...maybe there is a way around this?Mike088 wrote:if you applied earlier you would probably be in rather easily though. is there a reason you're taking so long?gothamm wrote:glitter178 wrote:probably not great. you are below the GPA median and you are pushing it close to the deadline. no, ED is like the kiss of death for scholarships. they don't have to give them to you because you have to go regardless.

ah, of course.glitter178 wrote:no, ED is like the kiss of death for scholarships. they don't have to give them to you because you have to go regardless.
Ok, so I am at a crossroads here. Apply now and maybe scrape in to loyola/pepperdine, or be the first one to have my application in for 2012 (non ED, of course).
or do both? is that bad?

I would say at least try for this cycle, and if it doesn't work out this time around, you'll at least be well prepared for next year's cycle. Also, about applying ED and getting scholarships... FWIW, I know that you can apply ED to Loyola and still receive a scholarship. Don't think you for sure won't receive a scholarship if you apply ED, especially with your numbers. Good luck with whatever you choose to do!gothamm wrote:ah, of course.glitter178 wrote:no, ED is like the kiss of death for scholarships. they don't have to give them to you because you have to go regardless.

I had two scores, a cancellation, and an absence. I attached an addendum explaining everything though. I believe they recommend you attach an addendum if you have more than one score and a difference between them of more than a few points, because their policy is to average otherwise.glitter178 wrote:anyone who has been accepted with $$, did you have multiple LSAT scores? trying to figure out if they are going to average or take my highest score.

I honestly don't know. I know on the app they ask if you have applied previously and what the decision was. However, I can't imagine them holding a previous decision against you. But that is just what I think - I really don't know.gothamm wrote:thanks for your feedback. do they look down upon the fact that you are reapplying?Judge Philip Banks wrote:I would say at least try for this cycle, and if it doesn't work out this time around, you'll at least be well prepared for next year's cycle. I would be very veryyy surprised if you didn't get in. Also, I don't think they will hold anything against people who are reapplying. Good luck!glitter178 wrote:@ gotham.... i will let you know in a few days. i am a reapplicant. applied VERY LATE last cycle, waitlisted with a 158 3.87. retook the LSAT got a 168, applied and went DF today.

Based on LSN from last year:gothamm wrote:3.3/162
going to have my application completed late jan.
what are my chances?
2 URMs with around your stats got in.
2 non URMs with your stats got in.
1 URM w. your stats was WL.
I think going complete late Jan will result in a WL.
Out of the nonURMs that were accepted. Both submitted in Oct/Nov.
1 received 66K. The other received no $.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
