Fresh air, 300 days of sunshine, tons of hiking, fishing, camping, skiing/snowboarding, mountain biking, etc. Beautiful state in general. Low taxes, good education opportunities, attractive populace, strong economy. I may be biased because I grew up in this state, but I think it's a really great place to live, whether it's in the cities or suburbs or the country.
Sounds pretty great. 300 days of sunshine? Is it really that good? That would be an amazing change coming off of a year living in Seattle haha... I haven't seen sun since August!

Definitely my thing. Irvine has decent trails, but nothing like Boulder, I suspect.krad wrote:GREAT trail running, if that's your thing!queenlizzie13 wrote: That is awesome. I'm all for outdoorsy places. Good running, I expect too.

Well, for the last 30 days straight it's been mid 40s and raining here. The two days before that, it snowed a TOTAL of 2.5 inches and shut down our city (which meant I got two days of working from home!) Then the 40 or so days before that it was mid 50s and raining.
Get me out of herreeeeee!

The building was absolutely beautiful.
The admissions officer said EDs went out yesterday. And they may get a few RDs out next week. Those who had their applications complete by the end of November (and maybe early December) will definitely find out in January.
Also was told that if you are accepted, you will get an email and the letter in the mail. If you're not accepted, you'll just get the letter in the mail. And it doesn't sound like it will be a big envelope either way -- just a letter.

I don't know if I already linked to this in this thread, but I will again. A little while ago I went down to Boulder and took some photos of the law building. I posted them here on TLS: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 0#p3161676

Hi all,
I mistakenly posted another thread because I couldn't find one via searching. I got my ED letter yesterday via email (with a PDF of the letter).

I also went to visit the Wolf building today. It seems very nice. I'm now in the market for a place to live that is as close to the school as reasonably possible. Hmm!

Negative - I actually just visited it with my girlfriend and walked around. No guided tour. I didn't realize there was one.

Just got an email saying I'm complete and under review - RD will be made early January and arrive by snail mail. Wonder why CU hasn't caught up with the times and started using online status checkers?

Did the same a couple days ago (with my wife... not your gf). I agree with you, it's a pretty nice facility - almost brand new. If anyone is considering attending and has any reservation, it is definitely worth the visit. Pre-visit it was 5th choice or so for me, but it has since bumped up to tied-for-second.shock259 wrote:Negative - I actually just visited it with my girlfriend and walked around. No guided tour. It's absolutely worth the time. The admissions staff were really friendly, too. We didn't make it for a tour, but the opened up a couple of the rooms for us and just let us wander around at our own leisure.krad wrote:lulz awesome! I think it helped this week that nobody was around, too...

Not sure if this is true, but on a visit a year ago to CU law school I was told by a student that no classes were scheduled on Fridays.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
