Nope, but my guess is March. Some people won't have the choice of January (if they haven't been admitted by then), January is right at the beginning of the semester so a lot of people won't want to travel after just getting back to school, and I think a lot of people will want to wait and see where all they've been admitted before visiting schools.
Just my thoughts!
makes sense to me! i was thinking march might be nicer anyways because the weather is a bit better

+1. If I attend, it will be in March, mainly because it gets reeaallllyyyy cold in DC around January.

This is actually part of why I'm leaning towards the January ASW. The March one is likely to be far more packed and might have a little bit less of a personal touch than the January one. Also, winter in D.C. is not usually that bad, we had a couple bad <read: epic> snowstorms last year, but it usually isn't a big deal.

Same here. Hopefully it comes today. I didn't think the website was that interesting.

I know this is early but is anyone thinking of living in their 1L apartment building, Gewirz? It looks like a good way to meet people, but they only have twin beds. urgh.

Ok so just got an Xmas card...but my online status still says "application complete" not even DR. Does the card mean I'm definitely in?

Your admissions letter means you're definitely in. The status checker does not change beyond "application complete" as far as I know.

I'm pretty sure it goes to DR? Anyway, haven't gotten an admit letter yet, just a Christmas card! I feel like "we look forward to welcoming you to our community" is a good sign though, right?

I was accepted on 12/6, and I have not had a status change since then. Not sure about receiving a holiday card without an admissions letter. I would suggest trying the Admitted Students site and see if you are able to generate a user name and password.

Wow yeah, the admitted students website just worked! Thanks for the tip. Strangest acceptance notification process I've been through...but can't really complain!!

just got my acceptance letter today. Letter is 7x5 in, pretty thin. There are three pages in it on letterhead.

Anyone else going to the admitted students reception in January? It sounds like it could be a good time, plus any excuse to visit DC, amirite?

I am! I'm still in school, so I'd rather go right when the semester starts as opposed to when I might have exams and stuff. I'm willing to brave the cold!

I think I'm gonna go in January for the same reasons as above!
Edit: I'm from Buffalo so I'm used to cold weather even though I hate it every day haha January won't matter to me.

me too. quite a change from the other two acceptances I've got. Must be they figure people can go on the website? Anyhow, there was a nice note and it looks quite classy.

It's been a very mild winter here in Colorado, so I'd actually welcome some freezing temperatures for a few days
I'm very bummed that GULC doesn't offer travel stipends for its admitted students events, though.

You're insane. I just walked 5 blocks from the gym to my apartment here in Chicago, and my face still feels like it's going to fall off 15 minutes after getting inside. I'm going to law school in Mexico.
Also, small envelope in the mail today.
