Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
Can anyone tell me about how long it took them to get their status checker? I got an application received email but no status checker.

Depends on how strong your letter is. If it's a strong letter it is definitely worth waiting for. Beg your professor to send it sooner?dihydrogenmonoxide wrote:Can anyone offer any insight into whether it would be better to apply now to catch the EA deadline, but with only 1 LoR, or wait for another LoR (or two) and apply RD?

Don't worry about it, I think you are going to get the call. Look on LSN your number is surrounded by a bunch of greens on all sides.vegenator wrote: Yay! I'm not the only one staring at my phone all day, waiting for a call. I'm non URM, non-resident, regular decision/EA, complete as of 9/24 and not a word from Texas (or any other school for that matter). I'm right around both 75ths, so I'm hoping I'm not being saved and compared with the next batch. Any way... this has me wondering if there's something grossly wrong with my apps that I missed. But whatever...
Good luck to my fellow desperate applicants!Hopefully more calls are made tomorrow. That'd be a nice way to start the month!

I went complete mid september, and haven't gotten a hold email and I certainly haven't gotten an acceptance (or a rejection). I'm wondering if I'm not the only one, and if they're sending the hold emails out in batches. Which would be profoundly cruel, since they have to know that applicants discuss this stuff online, but whatever. So, anyone else still waiting, grasping desperately to shreds of hope?
(also a 156 from this administration but gave an addendum)

No phone calls today, I guess? I really wish I new what was going on in the admissions office, the mystery and suspense is killing me.
I'm thinking that they're comparing all the new applicants from the october LSAT, and including in that comparison those of us that they haven't held over yet. Blech.

Sent it all in on the last day, crossing my fingers. UT is easily my top choice. So sad all the top schools are in places too cold for me
. Wonder when the last batch of us early applicants will first start hearing!

I got the call on the 28th, and I live in Mississippi. Mail takes a day from Texas, I know because my mom lives there and sends letter and things pretty frequently.

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
So is there a consensus on whether or not RD applicant who submitted early are considered with EA applicants??? I saw some people alluding to this. For whatever reason (my own stupidity really) I checked RD instead EA. I've been complete since early October though... No phone call, no hold email... 3.71/172... so I'm hoping it's not a ding... getting nervous though. I'm hoping i'm just being considered with the RD's at this point haha.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
