I originally applied in early January with a 158 and 3.5 (UNC grad, NC resident). I retook the LSAT in June and got a 168.
You thinking you're going to go or take your new awesome LSAT and apply to higher ranked schools next year? Congrats!

Still processing it. But I am not able to attend this coming Fall because when I decided to retake the LSAT I figured I would be reapplying next year so I got my job secured for another year. So not the decision is do I want to request a deferral or reapply to UNC and other highly ranked schools that were way out of my range with the 158.
So, someone else will be getting my spot for this Fall 2010. Good luck!

Congrats!!! I am surprised though that they are accepting stats that are on the lower side. It must be those blue eyes:)
I noticed this group of recent offers have all been instate, hmmmm!

What number did they call from? That way when/if I see it, I'll know to take a break from work. Thanks

I just got a call from Dean States offering me a spot this fall! DECISION TIME! For those who are interested, I applied in January, NC resident, 162 3.57, non-traditional and not a minority. I am weighing the options with my fiance this weekend...am still in a bit of shock at the moment. Wow! Good luck everyone.
Hoping you (and your fiance) will decide to join us at UNC!

Hello! I too got off the wait list (162, 3.4, instate, and late application). Looking for a roommate - if you're interested and in a similar situation, I've scoped out apartments (I live in Durham), and have my eye on one that would be around $725/person (plus utilities).
See you in the fall - congrats to everyone!

I emailed about tuition and this was the response I got back:
"It is my understanding that tuition bills will be released in mid-July. As for when they are due, I suggest you contact the university cashier’s office and inquire with them. The cashier’s office’s information can be found here:
http://finance.unc.edu/student-accounts ... lcome.html. Obviously students who are admitted after July will receive their bills later."
So I have emailed about that and awaiting a reply...

So what does everyone make of Dean States email? My guess us that it sounds like the class is full as of now but they will only go to the waitlist again if someone drops out.

"Summer melt" is an ongoing process so there should see some movement in July. Impossible to predict how much.

I live in Durham also and I'm looking for a roommate, considering Finley Forest off of 54; PM me if you want to talk about housing.

Has anyone else not gotten their financial aid package yet? I sent them an email and they just brushed me off; kind of annoying since my new lease in Chapel Hill starts August 1st so I need money...

I don't know about anyone else but financial aid doesn't usually process until at least the first day of class and usually for first years at school, it takes longer. I am planning on going to Campbell, and hoping I get in off the waitlist, but am in the same boat. We, my wife and I, are trying to borrow money to put a deposit down and first month's rent and pay back when financial aid processes.

Just so you all know:
A friend of mine (in-state, 3.4/160, non-urm) got in off the waitlist on Friday. UNC undergrad, so maybe that helped.
Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Wow. I'm a 163/3.84, OOS, 37 year-old. The in-state dynamic sure must matter indeed!

Well, I'm a 161 3.7 in stater still on the waitlist so who knows what they are doing. However, I just moved into my apartment in Winston Salem this weekend so it's all for the best!
