For all those who received emails requesting LOCIs, have any of you guys sent one in the past or did you only simply fill out the waitlist form?

I sent about 2 LOCI's(one of them about 2 weeks ago) prior to this email. Did everyone on the wl get this email or was it a select few?

So I called admissions today to ask them about the reconfirmation letter. They said the letter is sent out to the people the are most interested in on the waiting list. I asked if that meant there would be movement and they answered the typical answer of "you never know if other schools pull off their lists we'll pull off ours..." So very vague answers...but hopefully it means something good for those of us on the list!

So it sounds like there could be movement, but since they were vague- it seems like there may not be spots right now? or who knows maybe there are....oye! I hate all this speculation! Just move UCD! PLease

Is anyone else religiously attached to their phone right now?? I had just recovered from obsessing over my app status and now I'm off the wagon again. The email said the decision would come with phone notification but does that stop me? I think I've finally gone 'round the bend. The reason people screw up their 1L is because the app process has left no sanity behind to learn with!

i know what you mean. im taking my phone in the bathroom when im showering, just incase i need to jump out. and then i check this thing everyday to see if anyone has heard anything from davis. its too obsessive. they need to let us in. soon. today would be great.

I think everyone who is planning to start law school this year has a seat saved somewhere, we're just all willing to change plans if Davis says yes.

At this point, I withdrew from all the other schools I got accepted to and am just waiting it out for Davis while I re-study for the lsat. If Davis says yes, I will go to law school this year. If Davis says no, I will take the LSAT again this year and re-apply next cycle.

I hope that Davis says yes though. I really would love to go to law school now and get my career rolling.

Looking through the 2009 ucd waitlist thread though, it looks like there was movement more like Aug 5-10... so maybe it's still not too late.

Does anyone else keep checking their status checker like a paranoid freak! Even though it's pretty safe to assume that we'll get a phone call or email (based on past years) this late in the game, I can't help but checking that darn thing! Here's to hoping we'll hear something from the Dean this week! Fingers crossed.

yeah i know what you mean. do they update it every day at 6pm? and thought because of the email last week we might have had something this past week, obviously I was wrong.

Wow, I'm glad I'm not in a relationship because Davis is playing with my heart more than i can take haha

I've been in the office a few times and it's pretty vacant. I know some staff at UC Davis are taking mandatory furlough days during this period. No idea if the law school is affected.

So folks, I talked to the admissions office today- mainly to find out when entro week begins and also waitlist movement:

They said ento week begins the 16th, and then she went on to tell me that the chances of getting off the waitlist right now are not good at all. So before I said bye, I wanted to know what the reconfirmation email was for, and she said that if they had a last minute drop out then we would be contacted immediately but she felt the need to reiterate that it is very unlikely for any of us to be admitted. She definitely could have been nicer about it but I suppose it's wishful thinking about getting admitted so late in the game.

I have to say I am very disappointed and upset in particular with Davis, because it just seems that they have been stringing us along when they really didn't have to- at least not all of us.
