hey good people.
i was born and raised in the br, and am of course an obsessed football fan (college and nfl). I hope at least a few of you find the time to experience the craziness that is an lsu football weekend. All I ask is that one of you enjoy one for me
Good Luck to all of you who plan to attend this fall!

Looks like they're starting to really send out the scholarships. I got mine yesterday too. Full ride but I have to stay in the top 25%. Instate, 168/3.9 and at LSU for undergrad right now.
It took a little over three weeks for them to send me the scholarship.

Any non-URMs get a full ride in the past week or so?

Re: LSU 2010
congrats on all the scholarships!
Question:
how long did it take to get a decision/paws expansion?
I went complete 2/17, just wondering how much longer I'll be waiting. Also, anyone know how splitter-friendly LSU is this late in the process? 164/3.1... sigh

Re: LSU 2010
I visited in January and the process works this way: 1 week for committee to read app, 1 week for committee to discuss app, decision. They had received my updated transcript which they had been waiting for the same day I was there and the "accept date" read 2 weeks to the day. So I think once you get in the cycle you should know pretty soon.lilah wrote:congrats on all the scholarships!

I got in with a 165/2.91. You should be fine.

Is anyone from the D.C. area considering going to the Accepted student dinner at the The Oval Room this week? Admissions sent the invite out last week.

It's a restaurant in D.C. I think they probably just sent it to accepted applicants in DC/VA/MD.SAOJD10 wrote:I have been accepter since January and no invite for the oval room dinner? What is it?

Good to know someone else is willing to take the same risk! the university of miami tuition is just too much for me to deal with!

Yes it is way too much! Florida is not in good shape tuition is going to continue to increase at UF and FSU! UF offered me half tuition but with a ridiculous gpa contingency. I heard lsu and baton rouge is nice. Life is about risks, so Im going to take this one what's the worst that could happen? I will miss Florida but I'm sure I'll return one day, it is my home afterallmelicopter wrote:Cestjustemoi wrote:melicopter wrote:hey... Hi all,
I will likely be attending LSU Law this fall.
Last week, I received my scholarship notification. I received a full tuition scholarship that will renew as long as I remain in "good standing."
3.25/157, LSU undergrad.

What is the deal with some people receiving a full ride with a requirement to stay in the top 25% and a full ride with a stipulation to remain in good standing? I would more heavily lean toward attending LSU if I just had to "remain in good standing."

I did have some very good work experience and three excellent recommenders, though. Maybe those helped.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
