Mine arrived the two days after my status checker changed. It was a really quick turnaround after my one paragraph on my interest in Arizona. I am excited to visit there later this month. (as I can't hit the preview day).Tuski wrote:Mine was postmarked the day after my status checker was updated. It seemed like it took forever to get to me though! How many folks here are active and updating accounts on LawSchoolNumbers.com?
If you already are, I thank you. If not, why not do it and be an enabler?

Re: Arizona 2010?
Hey all, I have been in committee review for about a week and sent my Why Arizona? email. I checked my status checker and it still says committee review but the date has been changed to yesterday. Does anyone have an idea what that means? Are they updating? Re-reviewing me? My numbers aren't as strong as some of you, but close to their medians. Thanks!

I'm superstitious and think that LSN will jinx me. So far I'm happy with my cycle, and believe it is due to the fact I am not on LSN

God this thread is driving me nuts. I have similar numbers to most of you guys (OOS) and am still sitting in Committee Review....
Why can't they just love me and send an acceptance?

Just got accepted on status checker. I'm shocked. 160/3.6. Didn't have to do a Why Arizona essay. I'm out of state.

Re: Arizona 2010?
Congrats to all those who have gotten in. I just had to sign up for the board to say I have been living vicariously through all of you on this site the last few weeks. I went to U of A undergrad and would love to go back, but I am a total waitlist candidate. Went to Committee Review 1/21. I am currently out-of-state, but covered "Why UA" pretty well in my PS. Decent LSAT (162) and good softs (masters degree and high GPA from T14), but poor GPA (3.12; I had to have set the record for high B's that would have been A's with any effort) and a bombed first LSAT (didn't bother explaining in addendum. I figure the fact that I jumped 11 points in the very next administration of the test spoke louder about what my potential really is than any excuse I could attach).
Anyway, I have taken to bringing my iPod to work so I can check status checker hourly. The whole committee review status is so frustrating, so thanks to everyone here for keeping me sane. Hope to see everyone back in Tucson!

I got an admissions packet and then a separate letter about 4 days later with the scholarship info. My numbers were 164/B+, out of state, for those interested.
The letter states that the scholarship my be revised if I later gain residency status. Anybody know how much is usually taken away in such cases, or how difficult it is to gain residency status after the first year?

Does anyone know it they have an admitted students reception? Also, do they provide travel expenses for visits to the school?

I received the following e-mail on 1/27/10, no word on reimbursement but sounds like more details will come later:yo! wrote:Does anyone know it they have an admitted students reception? Also, do they provide travel expenses for visits to the school?
Congratulations again on your admission to the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law! The College of Law offers an exceptional education in a unique southwestern location. We would like you to experience this for yourself at one of our two Preview Days, which will be held on March 29 and April 10 (times and agenda for Preview Days will follow).
The University of Arizona uses the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form to determine any financial aid needs of our students. Award letters cannot be processed until the University receives your FAFSA form. You can find it at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. Please make sure to insert the University of Arizona's school code of 001083 on the form.
Also, in case you did not receive the seat deposit form in your admission packet or need another, I have attached one to this email.
We are working on the New Admit website page, and will send you login information via email soon. Please stay tuned!
