A 176 does not make you a reach ANYWHERE, regardless of what LSP says. You will probably get in everywhere you apply, with a random result from among HYS depending on your softs. UGH!

I'd probably put $$ on you getting a free ride to a top 10 law school with a 176.

Are you talking to me or EngLawyer? Because no T10 would take a 2.8 from a non URM, let alone giving a free ride. I'm in at Northwestern, and I'm 99.9999% sure I'm paying sticker. Do I deserve it? Probably not. I wouldn't get into a T10 engineering program, probably not even top 100. I was a mediocre (less than mediocre, I was just at the bottom third) engineering major at a great school. But I'll tell you that I could have worked less and taken a different major and done much better GPA wise. Maybe I should have. Though I admit I wouldn't have gotten over a 3.6 since that's what my non math science and engineering GPA was.

Thanks for the kind words! I was an engineering major and also worked as an engineer for a while before becoming disillusioned. Hopefully we engineering folks will do great in LS.

176 doesn't mean shit at HYS if you're a non-URM with a sub-3.7. Just ask baiailan - held at HLS with a 180. How's that for a magic bullet?

Yeah, seriously. I have a 3.77/179 and I'm nervous about HLS. I think there's no way BaiAllen isn't getting in though. If my GPA were 3.65 though, Harvard might be a reach for me. At 3.5 it would definitely be a reach.

Also unconventional background, stellar sots, STRONG upward grade trend, very strong LOR’s and a kickass PS. Basically, every component of application but GPA was spot on.

Also, it horrifies that some 3.0 160's got in. You guys better be Rhodes Scholars. Or flames, I really hope you are flames. Actually, I really hope you are for real, this should help my class rank a great deal.
