Berkeley technically ended their scholarship matching program this cycleBoiler2020 wrote:Hopefully. I submitted all of my applications right before Christmas so I haven't heard much back yet. I don't want to do big law so I won't be heartbroken if I can't afford T14. My floor at the moment is a full tuition scholarship for WUSTL and I'll be content if that's where I end upgoldenbear2020 wrote:GULC and Berkeley both seem to match scholarships rather than offer big money, so hopefully you have a third offer to negotiate with...Boiler2020 wrote:In via ASW trick! This is in my top 2 with Berkeley if the money is right. (So probably not gonna happen, but hopefully).

Ahhhh I'm in Boston area but wasn't invited. =( Trying not to take it as too bad a sign but certainly can't be a good thing. Do you mind my asking when you submitted?

Ah man, I applied around that same time (maybe a week later) so I expect I'd probably be in this group if I were going to be interviewed. My numbers are low so I'm not surprised, and it's probably good to temper my wild hopes a bit.theboringest wrote:1/5BostonOrBust wrote:theboringest wrote:Anybody else doing the group interview in Boston this coming Friday?

Anyway, good luck to you! I've heard the group interview is a lot of fun. I'm sure you'll nail it!

Same. Applied 12/22 and haven't heard anything. URM with average numbers (between 25-50% for both) so I'm worried it might be a sign of a waitlist coming....RParadela wrote:I haven't received any interview requests from Gtown... Getting kinda worried

I applied earlier in December with competitive numbers and they haven't touched my application yet. I can tell because I submitted a video.brownbird wrote:Same. I had my group interview on 1/9, so it's been more than three weeks and I still haven't heard anything. The ASW trick isn't working for me (So I'm assuming ive been dinged) but I also haven't been contacted with a rejection, WL, or anything yet. Has anybody else experienced this or does anyone know what I should expect? I kinda figured they would let me know as soon as i got rejected

Did anyone else's recommender get an email thanking them? Is this typically a good sign, bad sign, or just something that happens? I only applied a week ago so I can't imagine there's already a decision made. My recommender was an alum so idk if that matters.

Hmm, that might be awkward if they didn't admit you.cml731 wrote:Did anyone else's recommender get an email thanking them? Is this typically a good sign, bad sign, or just something that happens? One of my recommenders got this email as well. It seems to fall into the "something that happens" category based on another thread I found (copied below). Someone on the thread had a similar experience and was subsequently accepted, so I assume it's not an entirely bad sign (unless things have changed).lnsl123 wrote:+1cml731 wrote:Did anyone else's recommender get an email thanking them? Has anyone had a recommender receive this email and subsequently been denied / WL / accepted? I guess that would be the way to confirm if it's just something that happens.

I've started to imagine a scenario in which the admissions office tracks how many times we try the ASW trick and takes cruel joy in delaying a decision for one additional day per login.
