2nd quartile here too (actually kinda surprised at this)! What do you think are chances are ? Also is there any chance for scholarship $$ off the waitlist ??
From what I've been reading, they do dip into the 2nd quartile, but it looks like CA residents have a much better chance. I'm not so sure about scholarship though.

I was pretty committed to NYU, and had I been 3rd or 4th quartile I would have been set, but this just keeps me waiting....

Thank you both! I'm actually fine with it at this point since is encouraging me to branch out. Plus my Harvard waitlist has had me feeling 8)

Dinged today, got the email earlier this afternoon. Not surprised with the result, just that it took them 3 months to reach that decision.

I just declined my admission. I'm super bummed about it because I love Berkeley, but there is no realistic chance of me ending up there. I didn't want to keep holding the seat and tying up stuff just because I like it so much.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Bless you people who take yourself out and free things up for us waitlisters. I'm doing the same thing at other schools for good karma.

Berkeley supposedly stated they took nobody off WL last year when they sent the final rejection e-mail to all the waitlisted people.

Read through the c/o 2019 page to see the utter confusion that is the Berkeley financial aid office.

Berkeley must be really short on funds. Just found out no match for me either. GPA and LSAT >75. Looks like I'm off to NYU or Columbia.

So, brothers and sisters in the Boalt purgatory. Let's start to feed our paranoia. Are we all doomed, just like the last year's waiting list? No exceptions??? Somebody has any insights, guesses, wishes? How many people are there in the fb group? How does it compare to the previous years? Who is still waiting and willing to jump the bandwagon?

first quartile, non-CA resident.

I'm kind of surprised that there's no waitlist thread yet for Berkeley. Maybe it's because of their whole "don't talk to us" stance regarding waitlists? Anyways, today is the last day of SIR so maybe those of us on the waitlist will hear something within the next week? Looks like Berkeley is essentially broke this year though so I'm guessing sticker for anyone of the WL...

Anyone hear anything/expect to hear something soon? I'm waiting until July 15th before I take myself off.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
