Good- it doesn't make a lot of sense to send admit emails but then print out hard copy reject letters- maybe they would be trying to be nice and let us have something to tear up when we get the news?gobears!! wrote:I agree! I remember the last time I applied and got the small letter in the mail. I just didn't even open it because it only meant one thing!!! It would have been to sad to read.Applesauce11 wrote:Good- it doesn't make a lot of sense to send admit emails but then print out hard copy reject letters- maybe they would be trying to be nice and let us have something to tear up when we get the news?gobears!! wrote:I agree! Agreed, and it adds insult to the injury if you already know via email. But if it's the ONLY notification, it just doesn't make sense to waste money on the stamps and ink for rejections.gobears!! wrote:I remember the last time I applied and got the small letter in the mail. Every Monday I tell myself that if I don't get in this week, I would give up hope on Columbia. Then the week ends and I tell myself that I'll give Columbia another week.

Hi Everyone,
Just got rejection letter today in the mail. The letter was dated 2/10. I live in NY so I may have received my letter before many others. I am the first ding this cycle on law school numbers. Thin off white envelope. I went complete on 10/28. Good luck to everyone else.

Any word on whether the admissions office is closed today for Presidents Day?

I work at the university (in a different, unrelated office) and I'm at work today, so I assume they are as well. Undergrad and grad schools are also in session, so it would be surprising if they were closed.lawj5 wrote:Any word on whether the admissions office is closed today for Presidents Day?

Me too- also snail mail makes it worse in that it seems like they're taking extra effort to reject me...dreams2020 wrote:Sounds like I'm just waiting for the snail mail reject. Gosh darn it Columbia, who in the world decided snail mail was the right approach for dings?

Yep! In via e-mail. Submitted early January, interview early February. GPA = 50th, LSAT > 75th. No named scholarship.meowmers wrote:were you admitted?SamuelDanforth wrote:Decisions are indeed going out today.
