Does anyone go UR2 on PT, or just UR1? I went complete a week ago and I'm wondering if it's a bad sign that I'm still UR1. Also, day 10 for me falls on a Saturday, so is it safe to assume that I'll hear back by Friday?

It's a horrible sign. You're probably gonna get rejected. Also, any PT day 10 that falls on the weekend automatically bumps it to the following work week, not before. Good try though, lolz.Biglaw1990 wrote:Does anyone go UR2 on PT, or just UR1? I went complete a week ago and I'm wondering if it's a bad sign that I'm still UR1. Yes because it's been discussed a million times already and as recently as in the last 2 or 3 pages even. To summarize: You get 10 days for a decision. Whatever happens within those 10 days is inconsequential. Many people have gotten decisions on the weekends and during the night.Biglaw1990 wrote:Are you joking?lymenheimer wrote:It's a horrible sign. You're probably gonna get rejected. Hildegard15 wrote:Yes he's joking. To be fair to him, the question about the 10th day being on a weekend has been answered 50+ times already. People do hear back on weekends. It's possible you will hear before, but you could very well hear on that Saturday.Biglaw1990 wrote:Are you joking?lymenheimer wrote:It's a horrible sign. You're probably gonna get rejected. Getting accepted so early in the cycle has gotten me really used to the idea of attending Duke next year. So hype.

Already making plans though I know I shouldn't. Especially since money hasn't come out yet.jumbocolumbo wrote:Getting accepted so early in the cycle has gotten me really used to the idea of attending Duke next year. So hype.

Where do you guys have Duke in comparison to similar ranked T-14s (Berkeley, Upenn, UVA, Michigan) considering similar schollys?lymenheimer wrote:Already making plans though I know I shouldn't. Not trying to spark debate about which school is better, just wondering where Duke is in your priority list.

Similar ranks and similar schollys...it's number one. Although I wouldn't be opposed to UVA, Duke is way more convenient with life plans (without outing myself more than I already have).LetsGoNow wrote:Where do you guys have Duke in comparison to similar ranked T-14s (Berkeley, Upenn, UVA, Michigan) considering similar schollys?lymenheimer wrote:Already making plans though I know I shouldn't. The rest of my list goes like Ben's, just w/ Duke & UVA switched.
ETA: In fact I didn't even apply to Berk.

Me either. They have the liberal West Coast thing going which I think is actually kinda cool.benwyatt wrote:I didn't apply to Berkeley either. That's why I was comfortable giving them TTT treatment in my rankings.jumbocolumbo wrote: +1

I don't actually think anything negative about the school but mylsn puts my chances at Berkeley only 1% higher than my chances at Harvard so...why bother?

In all fairness, it is a dumb reason to not apply if you are strongly considering the school. If I recall correctly, you were sort of ambivalent/nonchalant on this point, making that reaction to your post unnecessary though.Hildegard15 wrote:And yet, when I said that I was hesitating to apply to berk for this very same reason, a lurker jumped down my throat. Its a totally valid line on the "Cons" column in my opinion. And of course I have other reasons. As Ben mentioned, MyLSN doesn't put the odds in my favor, location, COL, etc...Hildegard15 wrote:And yet, when I said that I was hesitating to apply to berk for this very same reason, a lurker jumped down my throat. Duke > Michigan > UVA > Penn
I didn't even apply to Berkeley (not applying to Stanford either). I interned on the west coast this summer and hated it, so I have a bad taste in my mouth of all places west of the Rockies.
