K, so if you're the user on LSN, then I feel like they have yet to review the applicants *completely*. At least that's what the February submission indicates to me. :p

Waitlisted. I had already sent in seat deposit to Y, was just sticking around out of curiosity, so I'm gonna request they remove me from consideration: one less body in the WL pool for you guys! Good luck!

By the way, is there any collected data about applicants who submitted a Stanford-specific LoR? I know that compiling that data would require painstaking efforts, but it's worth to ask before I dive into it.

Yep, that's the one. And that experience marks the furthest east I've ever traveled in the U.S!zaetoroftheprotoss wrote:Was that the one against OSU and Brandon Weeden?lc39 wrote:

Have you decided where you're headed yet--Stanford, Harvard, or somewhere else?

I am she! I was told that they had just finished reviewing my application (2/2 submission, so that is probably true). Hang in there...I know how painful the waiting can be!Oskosh wrote:K, so if you're the user on LSN, then I feel like they have yet to review the applicants *completely*. Can anyone guesstimate how many more admissions Stanford will offer from this point on?

I hate asking for advice though (scholarships vs. full price, H vs S, etc.) because it makes me feel like an a**hole! These are such good "problems" to have, but I have no idea what to do!!!

Nope, DLS a few days ago, just decided to request to be removed from WL so thought I'd update. DLS just now. Called the office and it is a ding. Getting into Harvard got my hopes up, but still not terribly surprised given my GPA. Good luck to those still waiting!

I never sent in a "Why Stanford", should I send one now or wait for a decision?

So let me get this straight - another day with one lone acceptance...

Wait, did zhirup not get accepted, as well? He +1'd the post in which the use revealed she received a call.
Also, it's 12:42 in Palo Alto... Maybe more calls to come?

Re: Stanford Law School c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
DLS today but I'm just gonna wait for the letter. WL or ding is the same to me at this point - I will withdraw from WL if that's what it is. a little bummed, but not heartbroken since I got the acceptance at H on Tuesday. It's nice to know. I can't complain too much about my wait though - complete 1/27.
I deserved it though. I was a bit too loquacious in my PS/diversity statement both. I learned my lesson and went for brevity on all my other apps, but I submitted S first in a bit of a rush because I was applying so late. (Of course, there could very well be additional reasons that I deserved it, but if I were the adcom reading my app, I'd be mad at me for my verbosity, even if it came with a 180, which mine did not!)
Good luck to all the rest of you!

If it makes you feel any better, my PS was over 2 pages single spaced (to everywhere but Harvard, which has the hard length limit).WhoReviewedThis wrote:DLS today but I'm just gonna wait for the letter. For whomever it is who is curious about the targeted LORs, mine were not. I feel like Stanford is kind of out of line to ask for it anyway. Your recommenders are already taking time out of their lives to write you a letter. Rude to ask them to do it twice with a special "Stanford edition."
But maybe that's just my bitter two cents
haha.
I do hope the rest of you receive good news from S. I know for many here S is the dream, and I hope they make as many TLS dreams come true as possible. May this week make it rain phone calls! Good luck, everyone!!
