I'm suddenly really regretting not applying to GW this cycle. They always bring their A-game to Law Revue
(seems more in line w/ our future 1L life. plus freddy mercury is the best!)

I suppose they will wait until May 1 for WL'd candidates to respond to their email with continued interest.

Why would they wait until May 1? The first deposit was due April 15.gatorgirl2012 wrote:Say it ain't so! That's just nasty.sadreversesplitter wrote:I suppose they will wait until May 1 for WL'd candidates to respond to their email with continued interest.

Then movement by your deadline so they are acting on full information as to what WL'd candidates are still interested.

I'd argue it's in their best interest to try to fill up their class as soon as possible. WLed applicants that respond quickly to their e-mails are presumably the most interested. I think it would be insane for them to wait until after May 1st to start accepting people off the WL, considering some peer schools have already started doing so.

I suppose time will tell. Clearly movement before then would be great!gatorgirl2012 wrote:I'd argue it's in their best interest to try to fill up their class as soon as possible. It the past, most movement started in late april, which if the trends in this cycle continue, means we'll hear back early june.

If anyone is looking for a roommate pm me.
A little about myself: male, enjoyed my fraternity while working hard so looking for someone with similar lifestyle, flexible on rates but looking stay below around or below 2k a month each.
Looks like money goes much further with a roommate

Hi everybody! Been lurking for quite a while, thought I'd share some stats and throw in a question.
Was accepted for PT on 4/17, application went complete 3/5.
160/3.81--- Not stellar, obviously, so I'm assuming the gpa coming off a double major and my work experience came into play. I've definitely been out of school for quite some time, so wish me luck!
Anyways, my question is for those who have submitted their applications and already heard back from financial aid. I submitted my GW finaid form and first seat deposit on 4/23.
How long do you think my turn around time will be to hear back about any awards/loans, and at this late stage in the game with my weaker stats, any chance for moneys?
Good luck to everybody waiting to hear back

It took about two weeks for me to get merit award info and another week after that to get grant info. Know that the fulltime financial aid pool is seperate from the part time one, so my info might not be entirely relevant.needmoresleep wrote:Hi everybody! My numbers were just as poor, though the reverse of yours. 170 LSAT/2.77 GPA.I recieved a 10k scholarship so there's hope, but again totally different pools. Do know that i found out about the scholarship through checking my gweb account, not by email. You might was to check there and see if it's been updated.

So is everyone still assuming that WL movement won't happen until May 1 (on may 1?)?

There have been a handful of folks to get accepted off the waitlist in the past month, at least according to lawschoolnumbers.com, though none in the last 8 days. I'm willing to bet that there's going to be a trickle of acceptances sent out over the next couple of weeks, possibly accelerating toward the end of the month or right after the final seat deposit is due.InBetweenDays wrote:So is everyone still assuming that WL movement won't happen until May 1 (on may 1?)?

Could it be possible that they have just reported their acceptance in the past month?fLaw School Bound wrote:There have been a handful of folks to get accepted off the waitlist in the past month, at least according to lawschoolnumbers.com, though none in the last 8 days.
