I wish I could hug y'all. I haven't received anything so far. IDK if they'll have another wave soon.

That sucks man. =( I hear you about feeling like a failure. YLS is so pumped up on TLS--and for good reason. It's a great school. But at the same time, I think it can be easy to overestimate it solely because of external factors like rank. I, for one, had already decided that if I were to get accepted to all of HYS I'd pick S because of proximity to family, better 1L experience due to weather and outdoor activities, my desire to practice in CA, and some specific faculty members with academic expertise in my area of focus. Still, it hurts to get dinged by YLS but if I'm honest with myself it's more because I merely wanted to say I was "good enough."Wormfather wrote:I did have a minor C&F that in and of its self wouldn't have caused a ding. If anything it was the fact that I had to amend the statement as one if the facts was inaccurate in the initial statement. So in a process where they're looking to ding people for just about anything...
Feeling like a bit of a failure though. Stupid, I know.

Then again, maybe I'm just sour grapes!

Based on this (LinkRemoved) it looks like we early submitters are in for a WL. If that's the case, I'll be stunned, honestly.

I'm a Criminal Justice major. I wrote my (risky) 250 on tackling a shoplifter.Azariel wrote:Interesting though because so many people getting dinged seem to have some association with econ or finance (I'm partially an econ major and wrote my 250 on bank defaults).
I'm pretty sure this ding is just YP for me though.

It really is. So you were rejected from the school that accepts nobody. But I wasn't an early submitter. I submitted between Jan 1 and Valentine's day (approximately).LSATSCORES2012 wrote:I have not heard back. Earlier than me. Probably to clarify a bit more (without outing myself), I was complete after Feb. 8... if that gives you further perspective on my long date range I mentioned earlier.bernaldiaz wrote:Submitted a few days before Christmasedamame wrote:Are you an early submitter (before Jan. 1)?bernaldiaz wrote:Still alive as well. Also worm, if it's any consolation, I would literally give one of my testicles for a Harvard or Stanford acceptance. You have both. (acceptances and testicles... I assume)TripTrip wrote:H is a good option. Stttanford is not. Have fun in Boston, worm!ohpobrecito wrote:It really is. So you were rejected from the school that accepts nobody. Is that the most likely outcome for us now? Is there not historically another wave of dings?edamame wrote:To someone who has access - Can we have an update on the Facebook group? Please, please? So I guess the 1 AM email was the complete wave. Survived the night, mid-Jan complete, but expecting a ding or WL at best in two weeks since I made an obvious mistake on my app. Maybe they're moving on to the 11s?
