I called in today to ask if they would be sending out additional scholarships, and the woman in admissions said that they're still in the process of figuring that out and asked me to leave my name/number so that someone could call me back...sooo no real answers!

what does that mean..? FYI i checked on LSN and assuming the same amount of people create profiles this year, so far, 25 or so people have reported receiving scholarship vs 45 last year so I'm HOPING that means more scholarship to come.

It also means that they still have a LOT of applications still unprocessed. Nearly all Jan and Feb apps are still sitting in a pile, awaiting an admissions decision. (According to LSN, recent decisions were from Dec submissions.) Some of the Jan and Feb apps may be scholly worthy, so BC needs to hold back funds just in case.

It's kinda nuts that they'll have done two ASDs without having processed so many apps yet. Here's hoping they start speeding up the process, BC's timetable for getting things done is literally the only thing I'm not digging about the school.

I am torn about this. I applied in early Jan and the status checker said to expect a decision in 8-12 weeks. So, while I feel like it is taking a long time, my application status is not at odds with the estimate they gave me.

One good thing about this app process is that I am learning a much needed lesson in patience.

Agreed. But other LS's in their tier are a whole lot faster. Heck, even the other Jesuits schools move faster, including Georgetown, which has already started releasing decisions on Jan apps. And GU is interviewing close to half of its class.

I'm complete since 12/14, and I'm at or above their medians. It's been longer than 12 weeks. The fact that it's taking BC so long is absurd, given that some schools' deposit deadlines are three weeks away. I don't even know if I should fly out to visit, because I haven't been accepted. And scholarship info will come even later.

Also, does anyone have any idea what's happening with the public service scholarship?

Question about Need Based Aid! I can't get financial info from my parents, and BC requires it. Has anyone gotten a waiver on the parental portion of the app??

Good luck! That one wave of scholarships can't possibly be all of them.
