have my js1 this week--definitely psyched that have gotten this far, but at the same time, kind of freaking. i will admit i am really an odd person, kind of awk. scratch that, REALLY awk. i think interviews usually don't benefit me. at best, people are like, "well, she's got other stuff going for her, maybe we'll give her a chance despite that awk-ass interview" lol.

so...we'll see how this goes. please wish me luck (or give me advice, i am sure i will need it)! rooting hard for everybody and happy to chat about my interview after it happens if you want to pm me.

I can't speak to KB, but JS is an absolute dream to interview with. Seriously, I'd have lunch with her and just chat. She's that easy to talk to.

+1. It was relaxed and (at least in my case) so brief that I wish there had been more time. Just be yourself -- some of the finest lawyers in the American tradition have been "awkward" ... Darrow, anyone?

Could not agree more. JS is great. I didn't even realize how much time had passed when she finally said "oops, it's been twenty minutes. I think we'd better start wrapping up soon." You'll end off wishing you could keep the conversation going just because it's fun and gives you a chance to (sort of) interact with the school. All in all a great experience. I was so scared going into it that I literally could not eat or sleep, which was totally unfounded. MY best advice to you is to not get nervous about this. It's a lot more fun, and less stressful, than you might imagine.

If you look at this coming week's schedule for interviews, there are slots each day. However, there are two different "HLS Interviewer"s you can select. I assume one is KB and the other JS. According to the schedule, one is interviewing M-Th (but not Friday), and the other is only interviewing on Wednesday and Friday, but is M, T, and Th free. Think this could mean we may be seeing a small trickle of JS1s and/or JS2s throughout the week since M, T, Th, and F each only have one person interviewing, with the other free.

And +1 to everything said about JS. I hate that I got so nervous about it. Yes, it's obviously important, but she is in no way out to trip you up; it was like meeting someone new over coffee... except through a computer.
BTW, now 100% ready to make good on my promise to talk to upcoming JS1s about it and answer any questions.
