Hey everyone, is there still no word on merit money?

Not that I've heard. Last year it seemed like word came later in Feb (around the 20th if I recall correctly) for the first awards.

Got the 'Decision Rendered; watch for email' update in the afternoon and unsuccessfully checked my email compulsively for hours. So I decided to go get drunk, and when I came home I thought to check my spam folder, and there it was! Stoked! ...and also drunk.

They respond to FinAid apps on a rolling basis so I guess it will depend on when you sent it. I was complete with all my FinAid materials in mid-January and still no word.

If you 'need' access to grad loans subsidized by the federal gubbamint, then it's not a flame. Need-based grants are an elaborate flame.

I can't remember when I went under review, but I think it was mid-December maybe. And I had two updates, I believe. 1/10 and 1/21, and then the update yesterday.

It was a couple hours for me, I think... I definitely employed that strategy while waiting, haha. And then the e-mail appears, like magic!

Could someone confirm this?

Those who are RD and borderline have no way to speculate when their decision will come nor do they have a way to speculate what their decision will be. Their decision will just be rendered at some point over the next several weeks.
