Is it bad that I am ED2, and I went complete on 1/7 and I'm still under committee review for the first time (1/10)? Sorry, I'm just freaking a bit.

Nope, I went complete on 1/8 and also stuck on UCR1 on 1/10...I don't think they've gotten around to looking at ED2 apps yet.aprilvu wrote:Is it bad that I am ED2, and I went complete on 1/7 and I'm still under committee review for the first time (1/10)? Sorry, I'm just freaking a bit.

Interesting: TLS states that the 25th and 75th for Penn are 166 and 171, respectively. The packet I received from Penn says that they're 164 (lower by 2) and 171, respectively, for class of 2015. This is good for applicants I assume. I wonder if they had to go even lower this year due to even further drops in applicants..

I applied to ed too. Complete on 1/9, ucr1 on 1/16. Waiting is killing me..aprilvu wrote:Thanks. So much anxiety.
Hopefully decision will be made later this week... Really don't want to suffer another weekend...
Good luck all of us!

If you go back several pages, you'll see that they've admitted some ED2 people already. I was accepted 1/10 and was ED2.collegebum1989 wrote:Nope, I went complete on 1/8 and also stuck on UCR1 on 1/10...I don't think they've gotten around to looking at ED2 apps yet.aprilvu wrote:Is it bad that I am ED2, and I went complete on 1/7 and I'm still under committee review for the first time (1/10)? So, I'm guessing the later we are notified the more likely we are in the reject pile?

Keep faith. Im sure the person who got in on 1/10 completed the application much earlier than 1/7 1/8 1/9

Just found out I was held few days ago.
For those who are "held",
Are you guys going to send in any additional materials?
(I already wrote a "Why Penn" essay so I don't know what I should write...)

Seems like everyone is getting acceptance/interview calls via phone. I'm out of the country for the rest of the cycle, would they email me instead?

I m an international application. I am pretty sure that we are not informed of acceptance by call. Very very few of us are invited to interview, unless it is mandatory.collegebum1989 wrote:Seems like everyone is getting acceptance/interview calls via phone. my two cents.

UCR2 as today, 1/22
UCR1 - 1/17
Complete - 12/13
LSN in profile if you're interested in numbers. I'm surprised by the quick turnaround from UCR1 to UCR2.

Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
Hey everyone, quick question. The header on my status checker says it may take up to 12 weeks to render a decision after one's file is complete. Mine has been complete for 17 weeks at this point. Here are my relevant dates:
Complete: 9/20
UCR 1: 11/20
UCR 2: 12/1
It has been complete radio silence since then. Is anyone else in a similar situation, and at what point would it seem within the bounds of prudence to send an e-mail asking what is happening?

I think is acceptable to send an email inquiring politely on the status of the app. I would not rub it in their face that it has been over 12 weeks, just that you submitted the application back in September

Hey, yes I was complete the 19th and stuck at 12/1 since then. I sent them an email this morning.elterrible78 wrote:Hey everyone, quick question. Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
Well, I'll hold off and see what they tell you, then. I did notice that in the application complete e-mail I got from them it specified 12 weeks from the date the file is submitted for committee review, so we're still well within twelve weeks from that date. Just a little discrepancy between the e-mail and status checker, I guess. Either way, let me know what they tell you, eh? And thanks!bernaldiaz wrote:Hey, yes I was complete the 19th and stuck at 12/1 since then. I sent them an email this morning.elterrible78 wrote:Hey everyone, quick question.
