Oooh I hate when that happens. I think I just said something random like "What are your thoughts on the new ED policy?" and we chatted about that for a while. It wasn't particularly informative or insightful but meh. Neither am I

what's your take on the new ED policy? Do you think people like us would get it?

Yeah, that was the only area I wished I'd thought of more. I had a legit application that led to talking, but not much other than that. I felt like that was fine though because the other like 35 minutes or so were all pretty full with discussion.

Should I ED Chicago or NU, Samara?

I am in the same bind as you JMJ. I am fairly debt averse and the ED scholarship is super tempting

You're applying this cycle and have high stats...I'd assume that's what they do with most people with those requirements?

anyone here met a NU rep during a law fair? We have one here next moth while all the schools are touring the west coast. I am trying to get best advices and how to make the most of the law fair. Also - do you guys know if the person in the fair will have a list or know who interviewed in that region? I had my off-campus interview 2 weeks ago and was wondering if they will have some sort of record of that with them as they are traveling from region to region.
Any other law fair advice will be really helpful
thanks!

So my second recommender mailed his rec letter yesterday. Which means it won't be processed by Nov. 1. Can I still submit before then (I was going to ED) and then once that is processed send it? (by the 15th completion deadline)?

Yup! They only need 1 so I'd say do that.

I got one, and I have a lower GPA and LSAT (by .1 and 1 pt). It's probably coming, they send them in waves.

I'm pretty sure (and correct me crumps if I'm wrong here) that the ED deadline is Dec 1 and the INTERVIEW deadline is Nov 15

Still not sure if it is worth the effort to apply with zero w/e. I have the numbers (3.97/172), but
a) I can't interview until Dec. 23rd, which isn't even available yet...
b) Again, zero w/e...
Any thoughts?

You'll get into a lot of higher-ranked schools than Northwestern with those numbers. Is there a particular reason you want to apply?

You're above both medians at UChi, so you should be fine there. I guess if you really want a Chicago backup plan, it's worth it. Not
everyonehas WE. You should be able to get a fee waiver too. Can you do off-campus interview?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
