WL. Haha the way the letter is worded makes it feel like you accomplished something. I will probably ride it out.

Good Luck to those of you waitlisted! For those of you riding it out, I hope to get the chance to see some of you next fall!

Congrats to all those who have gotten in and to those waitlisted - an accomplishment in and of itself
Is the consensus that if there has been no word, including no waitlist, by today, that its a likely rejection?
Its my status and not sure where it places me
Thanks!

ditto the above for me as well--probable rejection? at this point, I'm so desperate for word of ANYTHING; congrats again to all the WLers!!heavy wrote:Congrats to all those who have gotten in and to those waitlisted - an accomplishment in and of itself

Somewhat similar story to you, substantially higher official LSAC GPA, >4.0 GPA from my degree granting institution in a difficult major, >4.0 GPA for two master's degrees at a highly ranked school, and a 175 LSAT....and I got straight dinged. So, feel good about that WL (inasmuch as that's even possible). Good luck to you!cogitoergosum wrote:Spent two years in college without caring much about school (2003-2005). I earned 2.0 during those years. I was 18 and 19 at the time, and was preoccupied with pretty cool/interesting work that involved traveling all over the country on weekends/summers. Left school to take a full-time position in 2005. I returned to school five years later, completed 60 credits of 4.0 class work, graduating in May.thederangedwang wrote:care to share? I wanna explode. I mean geez, 4.0 to 3.2 is a heck of a dropElston Gunn wrote:Usually zero, but if any school isn't going to give a crap about LSDAS GPA vs. "real" GPA, it's Yale. So...good luck. I know your (cogito's) long story really sucks...I probably would explode if all that happened to me.adam1 wrote: Lol. There's a chance. But straight up how many gpas does Yale admit every year below 3.5. Single digits? Zero? But at the end of the day I think you should feel good. I know multiple people with your numbers who were auto rejected, as in no FR. You done good. Good luck.
So I'm graduating from my degree-granting institution with honors, 4.0, etc., but applying to law school with 3.2.
I'm coming to grips with the fact that I might very well be this cycle's only applicant to graduate w/ 4.0 and a 99th percentile LSAT, yet fail to gain admission to a t-10 law school.![]()
First world problems eh?

Yes, I do feel good about the WL - as good as I could possibly feel about any WL.LSAC Trollop wrote: Somewhat similar story to you, substantially higher official LSAC GPA, >4.0 GPA from my degree granting institution in a difficult major, >4.0 GPA for two master's degrees at a highly ranked school, and a 175 LSAT....and I got straight dinged. Bummer to hear you're in a similar situation. How is the rest of your cycle shaping up?

+1 on no waitlist email yesterday --- is the consensus that we are going to be rejected? Do rejections come via email or via postal mail?defrutamadre wrote:ditto the above for me as well--probable rejection? at this point, I'm so desperate for word of ANYTHING; congrats again to all the WLers!!heavy wrote:Congrats to all those who have gotten in and to those waitlisted - an accomplishment in and of itself

You aren't alone. A couple people I met at Stanford's ASW also hadn't heard back yet. One girl was still waiting as of yesterday, the other one I haven't talked to since Friday. Good luck!Istayedhere wrote:so... this thread is dead.

I still haven't heard either. Hopefully we'll hear this week, seeing as May 1 is rapidly approaching. Then again, I tell myself that every week.

Anyone else still waiting? Would an email to the admissions office at this point be acceptable?

Way back in November. It'd be really nice to hear before the 1st. Sigh.

I realized only days ago that I had never even received acknowledgement or completion emails. I was too busy at work to keep track, and checked for only decision emails from law schools.
LSAC site says Yale requested and received the app. Maybe Yale lost it?
No reply from Yale other than the automated response with FAQs. This sucks.

For those of us who did get a confirmation but haven't heard anything since we applied, we can probably assume they're still working on it, right? Because don't they generally tweet an "All Decisions Have Been Made" tweet at the end of the cycle?
