Any particular reason people think acceptances will go out today, or is it just rampant speculation per usual?
Rampant speculation with a pinch of inference. At this point, it seems pretty certain that we'll be waiting till Monday.
It was mentioned that there was evidence on LSN from last cycle that decisions went out on Fridays in January fairly consistently last year.

So, if I were to get into Penn with a 169, what GPA would I need?

I have a 3.9 from Vanderbilt. I suspect that simply won't cut it.

50/50 between being in or WL'd, based on LSN anyway.

This might be a silly question, but is "file is in the queue for review" the same as "under review" at Penn?

I'm wondering because my application has been complete for a while, but the usual "application under review" tag doesn't appear, while it does appear for other schools. Will it ever say explicitly "under review" or will it just stay as "complete" until I get a decision?

There's another step after "in queue". My blurb on top says "Your application is currently under review with the Admissions Committee." and my status is "Under Committee Review".

Faillll. And I thought they were already reading my application... :D
At least most other schools seem to go directly to "review" when you go complete.

Penn and Chicago are driving me crazy with their slowness! Still complete at both.

I believe penn sent out decisions on a wednesday in 2009 (1/14), on tuesday and wednesday in 2010 (1/12 - 1/13), and on a friday in 2011 (1/7).

Decisions are probably coming out no sooner than tuesday, but more likely on wednesday 1/11.

Maybe being "stuck" there is a good thing. I'm at 12/21 also, sooooo I guess you could call it wishful thinking.

Applied second week of November. Only status update has been complete (11/11). Numbers are at median for both LSAT/GPA.

Is anyone in similar position? Is this almost certainly a wait-list? Thanks!

Same, but I'm above LSAT 75th and just below their GPA 75th. While I think they do YP, I imagine I would still go UR first. I think they're just slow at getting through the applications.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
