YP with a C+ college average? This is the stuff that drives me nuts on TLS.Lonagan wrote:On hold at case Western. I'm thinking YP at 2.8x / 171. At any rate they need to offer me a full ride to get me to think about it, so likely withdrawing.

well, Case accepted me with a 2.6/166 and gave me a scholly, so yeah, it's probably YP.tallboone wrote:YP with a C+ college average? Several T20 admits + scholarships lends credence to my hunch. Have fun going crazy though.tallboone wrote:YP with a C+ college average? Pwned. Some people underestimate just how valuable a 170+ LSAT is. There are plenty of folks with a 3.5+ GPA, so few with 170+ (although TLS may make it seem otherwise).Lonagan wrote:Several T20 admits + scholarships lends credence to my hunch. why does everyone assume it has to be YP & that a school just may not be all that into you?traehekat wrote:Pwned. Some people underestimate just how valuable a 170+ LSAT is. Eh, it is a bit hard to tell in Lonagan's case because he/she is a splitter, but generally if you have the numbers you should be in. If you aren't, it is probably either YP, criminal record, applied too late, or a massive application mistake.MF248 wrote:why does everyone assume it has to be YP & that a school just may not be all that into you?

If someone is over both 75%'s I'm fine with people calling YP. but if they're a splitter, myself included, I don't really know if they have the right to shout YP.traehekat wrote:Eh, it is a bit hard to tell in Lonagan's case because he/she is a splitter, but generally if you have the numbers you should be in. Like I said, hard to tell in the case of a splitter, but he/she DID mention they have several T20 admits and scholarships, so a hold from Case is a little surprising.MF248 wrote:If someone is over both 75%'s I'm fine with people calling YP. but if they're a splitter, myself included, I don't really know if they have the right to shout YP.traehekat wrote:Eh, it is a bit hard to tell in Lonagan's case because he/she is a splitter, but generally if you have the numbers you should be in. You're probably right in most cases, but just had to drag out American's graph for this year given the discussion.

Oh man, haha, look at that heinous yield protection right there.
164 = auto admit.
166+ = auto waitlist.
164 = auto admit.
166+ = auto waitlist.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
