In! Just spoke to Dean Tom. Offered to fly me out, sounded tired but congratulatory:

stats: 177, 3.8, 2 pg PS, no Berkeley-specific anything.

edit: also, UR since 11/2, applied 10/26.

Not only do they have high LSATs, many of these are the same guys that got into Harvard. I think getting into Boalt is a no brainer.

I'm trying really hard not to feel that way, but it's tough. This thread has been an acceptance blitz for a straight half hour. Berk is (and was always) a LONG shot for me, but I loved them too much to not send an app.

But I hope the pace of acceptances for TLS folks keeps up today! Congrats to everyone so far.

Admitted Students Weekend

Edit: If you see ASD, then that is Admitted Students Day

They are both programs schools offer to pump people up to attend their school. Normally done prior to the deadline for seat deposits.

I wouldn't worry too much yet - I have high stats, but not nearly as high as many of today's admits (173 retake, 3.9). And I sent in my generic 2 page PS FWIW.

It also looks like after that lone acceptance for an 11/30-Under Review applicant, they're going back and doing things in some sort of chronological order.

Ok...I'm sorry for being annoying and asking so many questions...

But I just missed a call from Dean Tom!

Could someone who has gotten the call let me know what he said? When is ASW? What's the deal with transportation? And did he say when we'll get official confirmation (a packet or email or something...)?

if you applied early and dont get a call, that doesnt mean he passed on you right? you could be going to faculty review?

I was kind of in a daze when he called, but:

ASW is on April 9th - he offered to fly me out but gave no specifics. He said to expect something in the mail in a couple of weeks/10-14 days (something like that).
