My bet is on late afternoon, if it’s even happening today. But there’s really no point in haunting the thread for guesses - we’re all in the dark.ArthurTimothyRead wrote:Congrats, JS1s!
The timing of this JS1 wave might imply a JS2 starting around 12:45? Thoughts?
Or is 3 PM more likely?

Can we safely say that anyone getting a JS1 this wave would have gotten it by now?

I know people are hoping it'll be today at 3, but it looks like last year was Wednesday at 9:30 am for the second JS2 wave. So it may not be worth stressing over today!pghpens wrote:Should be grading papers but here I am stress eating and playing mario kartspectacles wrote:How am I supposed to know? Is there a precedent for 3 pm? 9:30 am seems pretty early for a phone call wave considering everyone that isn't on the east coast.MonicaYoung_LOL wrote:I know people are hoping it'll be today at 3, but it looks like last year was Wednesday at 9:30 am for the second JS2 wave. No they did do 9 am before if you look at past threads. We need to stop speculating there might not even be a wave today.

Accd to latest Spivey data 834 applicants have ABOVE a 173. This seems to be bad news for anyone below a 173 but, then again, lsn shows Harvard was actually kinder to folks with 172 and 171 LSATs from 2008-2012 when applications were way higher compared to more recent years. In other words who knows.

WOW.... This is an extremely tough year... And we have to take in account of the applicants with GRE scores as well. I'd guess that a good deal of those 834 applicants are splitters who felt the need to study their asses off for the LSAT and aren't guaranteed to get in. Possibly all the talk online about the LSAT being learnable is inspiring more splitters to get these scores than people with high GPAs.etramak wrote:Accd to latest Spivey data 834 applicants have ABOVE a 173. Very frustrating for someone like me who worked his ass off to graduate with a 4.0 but didn't have the time, resources, or awareness to do anything other than self-study for the LSAT.fohner wrote:I'd guess that a good deal of those 834 applicants are splitters who felt the need to study their asses off for the LSAT and aren't guaranteed to get in. It looks like this cycle will hurt LSAT-friendly splitters (175+ LSATs, 3.7 GPAs etc) a lot more than prior cycles.

Yes but Harvard matriculates only 400-500 themselves and I think accepts 900. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I want to be wrong!Bush v. Getting off the tangents here, but I'm confused. Total applicants per Spivey's blog are 25,802, and 1,135 got 173+. That doesn't correspond to the usual LSAT percentiles (172 or 173 being the usual cut-off for the 99th percentile).
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
