Has anyone been rejected after submitting the video interview?

Planing to go to NYC for interview.
Great questions. I think it's a combination of interest and interview performance. I really think if you make the effort to go to NYC or DC and you nail the interview, you are in. Let's hope so.

I hope you're right, and you should be right. I'm headed to NYC, as well. I wish they would have confirmed my chosen time and date before the weekend, though..

I just submitted my interview. Now the wait really begins. I actually was a lot more comfortable with the video format than I would have thought. Was a little strange not talking to anyone on the other side though

Checking in, just submitted my interview (a day after the 10 day suggested window, oops). Not thrilled with how it went, ran my mouth too much and got cut off a few times (60 seconds is too damn short) and also felt like I talked about the same 3 things for every question. Whoops.

hi! going to do my little video interview tomorrow, and I know talking about the question topics has been a little ~controversial~ on here lately, but I was wondering if anyone could possibly give me an approximate time estimate for how long you took to practice/took to do the actual interview? From what I've experienced with some of my other interviews, the time window they give you as an estimate is like not super accurate haha. Also, did people find doing the practice actually helpful, like should I dedicate a decent amount of time to practicing or just plan on kind of going straight in to the real interview part?

Thank you for all of your help friends! Couldn't survive this crazy process without y'all. Hope everyone has been having a successful application cycle!! <3 :D

The practice was a seperate fake interview that you could repeat as many times as you wanted. I did it a few times because it kept throwing new questions at me and I wanted to make sure my answers came through good on tape. I looked up other grad school interview questions and thought up answers and it went pretty well.

I think it depends how good you are at interviewing, I am not very experienced so I appreciated getting asked random questions to see if I could come up with a good answer on my feet, since I am not that experienced at doing that. What do you mean by time window? Like how long you have to respond?

thank you! I was wondering because I saw somewhere that it was only around like 7ish questions I think (?) if they just kind of hit you with them back to back and you only have a minute to respond so its like an incredibly short interview process, or if you have time in between each question to like relax before you click on to the next question or whatever. Unclear how this format works so glad there is a practice haha

You have to click on the next question to start it. So you can take a deep breath in between :)

Yes--I received mine in the mail. Was there something in particular about it you were curious about?

It's either kind of BS or very East Coast-centric of them to offer slots THIS WEEK and not reply confirming those slots until today at the earliest...

Thanks! I was admitted back in December and haven't gotten one yet. Would you mind sharing how long after receiving the decision you received the package?

Oh dear ;; I think you might want to call and make sure that they have your correct home address. I received my decision on Jan 12 and my package on Jan 27.

Regarding reserve list interviews: are these all unsolicited, or are some people reaching out to ask if they can do one?
