I wanted to live this daydream for a moment, so I dug through old posts. Last cycle, someone received a Mordecai on the basis of the standard scholarship interview, with no Mordecai invite:

Here's hoping!

Oh god and the stats make me hopeful! Now I just have to pray an interview with Dean Hoye wasn't requisite.

It sounds like they were the only person that has ever happened to, so I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm just daydreaming about slightly outperforming the mylsn average for my numbers

Same! I felt like my interview went extremely well, but it wasn't with Dean Hoye.

Edit: My numbers don't cut it, but it's nice to imagine.

Psh your stats should more than make you hopeful to be this year's kilt. Maybe they're looking to increase the number of rando mordi's and will up it to two this year ;)

Does anyone know if theres an average wait time between UR2 and getting a decision? I tried to go through the thread to find this, but Duke has so many categories of applicants and decisions it was impossible to keep track. Thanks everyone and hope everyone has been having a great and successful admissions cycle!!

It seems like people who went UR2 got decisions in the next couple of days but that isn't a hard rule. There are people who went UR2 early on and still haven't received a decision

I think people use 2020 pages for people who are accepted, then leave after they decide. the UVA group has a few hundred members.

I haven't 100% decided yet, but I am pretty sure I'll attend Duke if they give me any level of scholarship (interview end of month). They are only T14 that is near my home state of FL and has good weather. The class is small. Employment stats are great. The campus looks like a castle. It's prestigious. Everything about Duke is awesome.

Also I feel better about myself when I see my future classmates went to such prestigious undergrads.
Well I'm pretty sure I am going to end up at Duke and I went to FSU, so I think I'm fucking up your last point lol
