Hmmmm, the date on my "Application is ready for review" status just updated to today's. It had been holding at 1/21, the day I submitted. Should I take that to mean it's finally under review?

Placed on reserve. I interviewed 1/23. Anyone know how many people are placed on reserve/how good of odds you have of getting in?

From what I understand, reserve is like waitlist, except they actually reconsider applicants at the end of the cycle to "round out the class." The remaining folks are either rejected or Summer waitlisted. However, this was under the old Dean of Admissions. The new Dean could be doing it very differently, especially since she's extended personal interview offers to a few reserved applicants (not sure how many, if everyone got one, or if everyone will get one eventually).

In response to the Reserve Interview offers, I'm on reserve but haven't been offered an interview. (Both when I applied and these new special Dean interviews.) Actually pretty concerned about the fact I haven't interviewed in some way yet? There's part of me that wants to ask if it's possible for me to interview in some fashion, but that just feels weird to me. Trying to be patient and not super stalker'y, but also want to show my commitment as much as possible!

Very curious. Perhaps they only extended the offer to those within geographic proximity (relatively near Manhattan)?

I think Cornell has a higher GPA floor than Columbia... just my own suspicion. They seem to reject/reserve people below 3.6. What does everyone else think?

Also, did you just find out? Today?

According to TLS, etc I had a "100%" chance, which HA, obviously not. And yeah, I just found out today via email. Checked the status checker this morning and no movement, now it gives the blurb about the reserve list.

Sorry to hear I do think mylsn has a very small sample size - I just searched 174/3.3-3.4 and I got 100% too, but for only 3 acceptances. You will have plenty of options to fall back on, though... I wish I had an acceptance to Columbia in my back pocket!

That site is way better than the one I was using before. and seems more accurate (also put on Reserve at Duke).

I didn't mean to come across as bitter, guys, sorry, I'm just a little surprised. I love Cornell (I grew up in NY) and thought they might attract me with enough money. My love is unrequited.

You didn't! No worries! I honestly appreciate all the updates I can get because I'm still waiting to hear if I got an interview or not... if they sent out reserve emails today maybe they'll send out interview requests tomorrow or the day after!

I can't stand MyLsn right now. According to it I should have been guaranteed acceptance with scholly from UCLA, but I got WLed. It was my top choice and now I'm forced to hope for the east coast. I'm real salty.

MyLSN does not show you your chances of admission at a particular school. MyLSN only shows you how many applications in our database have self-reported success and failure in gaining admission to any given law school. As a result, you might very well be accepted to every school that this website returns a “0%” acceptance rate for, and you might be rejected at every school that this website returns a 100% acceptance rate for.

MyLSN does not show you your chances of admission at a particular school. MyLSN only shows you how many applications in our database have self-reported success and failure in gaining admission to any given law school. As a result, you might very well be accepted to every school that this website returns a “0%” acceptance rate for, and you might be rejected at every school that this website returns a 100% acceptance rate for.
