I mean, admins can see who's posting and out them if the anon is inappropriate. But I've totally been sitting on info someone in this thread might find useful, because I'm not willing to link it to this account.lymenheimer wrote:Nah. My usual strategy is to fudge days by a few days, and I don't want to post accurate data in the spreadsheet or LSN till after the fat lady sings. Even with anonymous posting, however, I'd probably still not be totally candid till April.dumdeedum wrote:I mean, admins can see who's posting and out them if the anon is inappropriate. I could start a new account and DM it to a few people, but lurkers wouldn't benefit, plus if I did, it would be obvious who it was. I have no plans to share, but only because anon is not available (or WAS not available, as if it were to become available I'd still probably keep my mouth shut because of this exchange).chayatshuva wrote:and you can't dm that info?dumdeedum wrote:I mean, admins can see who's posting and out them if the anon is inappropriate. Lol at that thought. Would love to hear how Nony would feel about having to babysit anon-abuse in the 0L forums.dumdeedum wrote:I mean, admins can see who's posting and out them if the anon is inappropriate. Eh. All I'm saying is the lack of an anon option somewhat limits the ability to share useful info, and probably leads to a ton of slight stat fudging. IDK what the costs versus benefits would be for the admins, but it's a suggestion.lymenheimer wrote:Lol at that thought. I think you're being a little paranoid, even if they could identify you, sharing info is not against the rules, why would they disadvantage you?dumdeedum wrote:Eh. Re: NYU c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Hey guys I'm just wondering if there's been any international applicants got their DLS? Mine has been stuck at UR2 11/19 since... well 11/19. Submitted ED contract and application 11/9, above LSAT median.
Many of the other schools that I applied are also either complete 11/19 or UR 11/19. I've been contemplating what I've done wrong (or right) on that day but still not a clue. Will a blood sacrifice do? Thanks.

Since the first wave of DLS I've been looking for excuses for myself like "I'm International" "I submitted late" and "I applied ED". Now it just seems that I suck

Well don't openly say you got into your dream school and all other schools suck and you should be fine. Just be a lil reserved, that doesn't mean you can't share when you get into a school, and I think you are way overthinking scholarships.nacogdoches wrote:Easy example: Financial Aid. Let's say I post on here that I won a Darrow (I have not). Likelihood is that if UVA identified me, they wouldn't want to give me a Dillard, as that'd put them on even footing with Michigan, which is riskier than giving the Dillard to someone who has no scholly offer at all. Even admissions could potentially be adversely affected if, for example, I post on here saying I get into my dream school X, and adcoms from Y identify me, figuring I won't go there, and YP me. Some schools take their yield seriously, especially when Fin Aid is involved.Perseus1994 wrote: I think you're being a little paranoid, even if they could identify you, sharing info is not against the rules, why would they disadvantage you?

Hmm. Do we know what time they update the status checkers, just to maybe stop us from constantly refreshing all day? Asking for a friend.
