Waitlisted. Significantly above both 75ths. Very disappointed.

the tone of the email was: we're really sorry but we're out of money. but loans!
not sure if that's true, but it does seem like a few top schools, er, fucked up their budgets this year.

Im pretty convinced that's just something they say, but yeah I'd want at least half tuition to compete with that Michigan offer

Really hoping they haven't actually run out of money, but I'm sorry Caps... Hope they'll be willing to consider matching your other offers down the road.

Sorry to rub it in anyone's face, but in case people are worried that they ran out of budget, I got a half tuition scholarship today via e-mail! Not super stellar stats either: GPA>>75% but LSAT at median. Interview went pretty well so I wonder if that was factored in. Got accepted on 02/23.

Congrats! I just got accepted and I was afraid that the scholarship offer might not arrive on time before the deposit deadline (got a 105k offer from ucla for which the deposit is due mid April). Thanks for the info!wogusdh wrote:Sorry to rub it in anyone's face, but in case people are worried that they ran out of budget, I got a half tuition scholarship today via e-mail! My stats are 25%<GPA<median and Lsat at 75%. Fingers crossed, but looking at LSN, it seems like those with higher GPAs are more likely to get more $$$.

Interview Scheduled 3/11
Under Review (final?) today 3/20
They asked me a curveball question. Well, maybe I didn't research thoroughly. They asked what current issue -- national or international -- deserved our collective attention. Ugh, I was really thrown off by that.

I don't think I was very coherent haha. Immigration reform and how it intersected with other public concerns, like education and poverty.Wahrheit wrote:What'd you pick?Oskosh wrote:Interview Scheduled 3/11

Re: Chicago Law School c/o 2018 Applicants
I had this same question for my interview on 3/18. I don't think that question was noted anywhere else in this forum -- it surprised me a bit too. Sounds like you addressed something that you've given personal thought to -- I got the impression that's really what that question was looking for.Oskosh wrote:Interview Scheduled 3/11

I enjoyed the interviewer; I suspect we had the same person. Overall super-pleasant experience. I went back to UR 3/19.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
