I'm probably YP.
180, 3.5
I declined the interview request because I work constantly and was priority wait listed. I think that if I had interviewed I would have been accepted.

That's what I was thinking... Pretty nervous about it and definitely overthinking my manbun and beard now, but even if I don't get in I'd be pretty happy with going to BOALT.

At/above both 75ths, complete 1/13, no interview request. Pretty sure it's a stupid fuckup that's going to get me dinged, though.

I know it won't help you with this, but I warmly recommend installing the "undo send" button on your gmail.

I actually have that installed on my gmail proper, but I sent the email from the Mail app. I have since switched to using the browser version, lol. I guess we'll see if it hurts me- this was all before I even went complete, so my pipe dream hope was that maybe the person responsible for answering emails would take pity on me and not put it in my file. Nothing I can do about it now, though.

Hey, so I didn't see your original post before you edited it, but I emailed them once and they responded 'Dear Emily,...'

My name isn't Emily.

So, don't worry. They send emails with mistakes in them too.

Is it significant which type of interview you are invited to: Alumnus vs group interview?

I just got in via snail mail... LSAT and GPA above 75th. Is there a way to apply for scholarships, how does this work at Georgetown? Do they offer them to you unsolicited? If so, is it at time of admission, or later? Thanks!!

Applied 1/10, Admitted 1/31. No idea about scholarships yet. 3.77 GPA 167 LSAT.

Interesting, I'll have to look through last years thread to see about timing of this.

Late Feb/March I think...
According to the c/o 2017 board, on Jan 30:
Anyone else get an email about confirming you want to be considered for merit scholarships? There was no essay prompt, so I'm not entirely sure what materials to send in or if I should send anything in at all. Excited to be considered though!
So we'll see what happens.

I emailed Gtown over Christmas and got an automated reply that said "We are currently closed in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day" even though that was over a month away at the time. They also sent me the same email twice instead of responding to a follow up question.

tl;dr I wouldn't worry too much about it, leslieknope.

From what I know, it all has to do with where/when the Dean will be to do the group interview. If you're not somewhere where he is planning to be or the timing doesn't work out, they'll use an alum. So I don't think it says anything at all about their feelings towards the applicant.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
