Have we established if the interview is a good or bad sign? Confused as to why some people get offered interviews while others with similar stats don't before getting accepted. I don't think it's YP because a lot of people who did the optional responses still get interview requests....anyone with obviously YP numbers want to attest to whether or not they were interviewed?

I declined the interview request because I work constantly and was priority wait listed. I think that if I had interviewed I would have been accepted.

Do you think they will really take that sort of mistake and use it against you? Yes, it is a little careless, but your numbers show you aren't careless overall, right? I would probably be freaking out hardcore too, but looking at it from the outside, I don't think that is going to make too much of a difference. Who knows though

I just got in via snail mail... LSAT and GPA above 75th. Is there a way to apply for scholarships, how does this work at Georgetown? Do they offer them to you unsolicited? If so, is it at time of admission, or later? Thanks!!

In the past, Georgetown has invited applicants to apply for scholarships. You'll have to write essays and stuff. If you're not invited, you can still solicit.

According to the c/o 2017 board, on Jan 30:

Anyone else get an email about confirming you want to be considered for merit scholarships? There was no essay prompt, so I'm not entirely sure what materials to send in or if I should send anything in at all. Excited to be considered though!

I emailed Gtown over Christmas and got an automated reply that said "We are currently closed in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day" even though that was over a month away at the time. They also sent me the same email twice instead of responding to a follow up question.

From what I know, it all has to do with where/when the Dean will be to do the group interview. If you're not somewhere where he is planning to be or the timing doesn't work out, they'll use an alum. So I don't think it says anything at all about their feelings towards the applicant.
