Stipend approved so I'm officially heading down. What's everyone doing Thursday night? I say we get a group together WUSTL style

ND is the only school I have yet to hear an answer. It was definitely my best overall application... my "Why ND" essay was pretty good, me thinks. Praying they care more about my softs that my LSAT score (which I do not have high hopes for -- but you never know)

Still at my second or third complete on 2/11. Called the Admissions Office this morning and was told that while I was in final review, she anticipated a wait of about 2-3 more weeks. Don't know if that's good news or bad news at this point.

Decision Made - no deposit numbers. Pretty surprised by this - while my numbers aren't stellar, I've gotten into all the peer schools with $$$ and several ranked higher incl a t14 so far. My numbers aren't high enough for it to be a YP thing either i don't think.

Weird. Maybe the deposit numbers are still going to be updated, although they have been an accurate tell so far this cycle. Maybe they've just already admitted up to their goal and admitting more people would cause them to over enroll, even with good numbers.uncreative wrote:Decision Made - no deposit numbers. did anyone else get another date change this week but no new status? I'm actually starting to get worried. I've been accepted w/ $ at like 4-5 schools that are ranked higher than ND, yet I'm coming up on 7 weeks without a decision. Really hope they didn't overshoot their admission target, b/c I love ND.

I dunno though, ND was pretty YP aggressive last year.uncreative wrote:Decision Made - no deposit numbers. Did you write a strong "Why ND" statement?uncreative wrote:Decision Made - no deposit numbers. No, but I did spend a paragraph on it in my PS. Very strong softs, great LORs, well written PS and DS, no C&F issues. Only thing I can think of is its because I am a splitter (LSAT > 75% / GPA < 25%) but my GPA isn't terrible and has a good explanation.mx23250 wrote:Did you write a strong "Why ND" statement?uncreative wrote:Decision Made - no deposit numbers. It's the "Why ND" essay man...you gotta write it, seems to be their de-facto YP.uncreative wrote:No, but I did spend a paragraph on it in my PS. "Decision Made" -- deposits showing -- no email confirmation. Anyone else in the same situation?

Hmmmm well... to give some hope to other people who didn't write a "Why ND".....John Everyman wrote:It's the "Why ND" essay man...you gotta write it, seems to be their de-facto YP.uncreative wrote:No, but I did spend a paragraph on it in my PS. I got into ND in January about 6 weeks after submitting my app...
I'm at or below 25% for LSAT/GPA, I have strong softs, a pretty good PS, I'm not a URM, and like I've mentioned before I didn't write a "Why ND". Though I did write like one line in my PS about wanting to go to ND.

Also waitlisted. Better than flat-out rejection!maple22 wrote:I got my letter in the mail today - waitlisted. I knew it wasn't an accept because I didn't have the deposit numbers. Hoping I still have a chance from the waitlist

Just thought I'd update everyone. I don't plan on attending (unless the offer is incredible) but I was accepted last week via deposit numbers. I applied last week of January. Above or at the 75ths and strong softs. I'll update with scholly info when that's available. Highly unlikely that I'll be attending (as some of you know)
Edit: gpa is actually above 50th

For those of you who are admitted and are attending admitted students weekend, I was curious what you are going to wear? The itinerary says casual, but what exactly is casual?

I usually look at the website/newsletter/admitted packet and check what students look like.RollingthruLawSchool wrote:For those of you who are admitted and are attending admitted students weekend, I was curious what you are going to wear? The itinerary says casual, but what exactly is casual?
Weather is 50-30 degrees. Which to me = Simple slacks, chill polo/button down, fly sweater/jacket.
I'm going to hit up the bowling shindig on Thursday because why not. Never been bowling, so I might as well see what the fuss is about. Any of you cats want to meet up at some point?
