I was pretty much the same in terms of timeline/details.elterrible78 wrote:I also got a call from Dean Z yesterday telling me I'd received a full Darrow. The whole timeline looked like this (since others have asked):
Applied: 9/4
Admitted: 11/6
Invited to apply for Darrow: 12/7
Sent Darrow essay: 1/3 (would have sent it earlier but I was out of the country until 1/2)
Received Darrow: 1/10
Up until I got the call yesterday, the ASW reflected zero scholarship for me. Hope that information helps anyone who is curious.

I just looked it up on their financial aid page and it says up to two weeks for them to make a decision/post it on the ASW portal.

"Typically, more than half of our applicant pool has numbers that are at or above our median scores for the previous year's incoming class, which is almost three times the number of people we can actually admit."
From Michigan's prospective student website. Is this true? Or is this some weird numbers-juggling with yield that they're doing?

I probably can believe that, depending on what they mean by "numbers" (index, one of both, both lsat/gpa?). Don't forget all the applications/admits who end up going to CCN etc, and consider Michigan a safety/way to get money from their school of choice.twinkletoes16 wrote:"Typically, more than half of our applicant pool has numbers that are at or above our median scores for the previous year's incoming class, which is almost three times the number of people we can actually admit."

I don't think my numbers are high enough
ETA- someone PM me and correct me if I'm wrong. If lavitz didn't get a Darrow invite I don't see why I would.

Thanks. I can't believe I regret my uGPA so much, I worked so hard and was so excited to graduate with honors. HAH TLS has taught me well now.

Unless there's something seriously, seriously wrong with your app (and honestly, they wouldn't have accepted you if there were), I think you'll end up seeing some pretty significant money, so just hang in there. Also, there's a 172, 3.53 on LSN with a Darrow (granted, from HYP). So, I wouldn't count myself completely out if I were you.twinkletoes16 wrote:az21833 wrote:with that lsat score i think you're atleast half darrow material.. let us know what happens, best of luck twinkle!

True. TLS helps since we're all in this together. In real life, I don't know anyone applying to top law schools, which can make this isolating.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
