Nah. I didn't expect to get WL'd, given UVA's penchant for high GPA's, but I'm not really surprised, since I didn't write a "Why UVA."

Maybe. But I was accepted with a $90,000 total ($30,000 per year) scholarship and I'm 169/4.14/non-urm. However, I applied in September and wrote a Why UVA, which I think made a big difference in my outcome.

Just to add to the WTF are they doing speculations: I applied in December with a 169/3.9/non-urm/no Why UVA essay and was accepted with $20,000/yr. I certainly can't figure it out.

i think it depends on if other parts of ur app indicates ties to virginia/dc. if not, why uva necesawry

I went complete jan. 6 have not heard squat out of uva. Expect a ding with a 168/3.9...anyone else on the same boat....?
