Last cycle the first big wave of RD decisions came at around 01/10.

Looking at last year's thread I understand why people think the first RD acceptances will be on Monday but if we are going by that then there should have been a mass status update on 1/6 for most, if not all of the people who are expecting a decision on 1/9.

So do we still think that its 1/9 and that they are not following the status update trend like last cycle?

My speculation was that when we see a mass status update then we can expect decisions in a day or two.

I understand your case but if you look at last year's thread the 1/7 UR date was the final not the first for many applicants. And by mass under review, I meant like 2-3 pages not 6-8 people.

I am not saying it is not Monday, I'm just saying that if we are following last year's trend you should not forget to take all the information into account.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but no one has gotten more than 2 review date right? My guess is that those who had their second pre-new year will hear Monday. I base this on absolutely nothing. It just makes sense that those who had two dates earlier would hear earlier...

Nah. I just think it means you haven't paid a class.deposit (obviously). I will be glad to send in a deposit if it will help my cause

Good luck to all RDers who might be hearing soon. I was in your place one year ago and was lucky enough to get a phone call. So far, law school at Chicago is basically the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.

Yeah people have had some crazy update dates (I think someone said they updated on Christmas eve). If those dates actually correspond with reviews someone in Chicago's admissions office likes burning the midnight oil.
