Waitlisted today via status checker. My dad is a legacy there and has donated small (very small) amounts of money to the school. Maybe incorporating this into a LOCI will get me off. They didn't ask about legacy status in the initial app, so it will be new info to them.

Also waitlisted via status checker today. In-state applicant here. I guess I will start looking into sending an LOCI.

Waitlisted here too, this is much more than I expected so I'm not disappointed.

Waitlisted today as well. Texas is my #1 choice, so I'm bummed, but my LSAT wasn't up to par, so in a way I'm lucky to be in this position. June LSAT here I come.

I'm wondering the same thing. Any idea when the seat deposit is due? April 15th? Can we expect some movement at that point along with the occasional movement from withdrawals?AP-375 wrote:WL. Abandon all hope? Any chance from here? What to do...

sigh, also got the WL. i bet my personal statement had a lot to do with it. i rushed it a bit too much trying to get it in before the EA deadline. looking at past threads, it didn't seem like too many people made it off the WL.

Seat deposits are due April 2, but its only $200 so I would expect some people WL'd in other T14 schools to put the deposit down while they try to get off waitlists at places like UVa or Duke.atx14 wrote:I'm wondering the same thing. I know a girl in my class who was waitlisted at UT. She accepted a scholarship from Baylor and moved into an apartment in Waco. Then in August, she got a call from UT saying a spot opened up if she wanted it. She broke the rental contract, withdrew from Baylor, and seems to be very happy at UT. If you want to go to UT, fight for it.AP-375 wrote:WL. Abandon all hope? Any chance from here? What to do...

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
Hm. Just looked at last year's LSN. Doesn't seem like they waitlist too many people.. and many acceptances were withdrawn, as were a number of the WL. If they're making decisions in roughly the same way this year, this could mean good luck for us? Especially with the reduced # of applicants? Or am I just being too optimistic here, haha.

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
Yeah a coworker recounted a similar story he actually started school at Ok state and got a cal from UT (they apparently started a week later then) and told him if he could get down there by monday he'd have a spot. He had already moved into his place in still water and started class so he opted not to go. If it was me I'd have done what jazz's friend did.JazzOne wrote:I know a girl in my class who was waitlisted at UT. She accepted a scholarship from Baylor and moved into an apartment in Waco. I accepted UT's waitlist offer this morning, I'm going to ride it out until the bitter end.

I also accepted their waitlist offer this morning. I received a quick "thank you" response. And the wait begins....

Probably would have cried last night if my father had told me it was ok to cry when I was little. Did 300 pushups instead.
Luckily I already wrote my LOCI in anticipation.
Does anyone think additional LOR would help?

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
I was curious about this also. I will get an LOCI to them in the next few weeks but was curious if I should have another LOR sent in? Any reason for them to add to/open my file seems like it could help my chances. Here's to hoping...Longhorn88 wrote:Probably would have cried last night if my father had told me it was ok to cry when I was little. Did 300 pushups instead.

If you have a LOR that is quality, do it.atx14 wrote:I was curious about this also. I will get an LOCI to them in the next few weeks but was curious if I should have another LOR sent in?
