Write that on your LOCI. you never know...dakatz wrote:Oh so then Fordham is pretty much out of the question for me. I look to have my decision made by April/May, so if they don't even start considering the waitlist until April then I am finished there. Thats such a shame because I was in love with the school and thought my application warranted an acceptance.daniel5215 wrote:I emailed them about the waitlist. Oh well, while I'm sad that I got WL'ed, I'm sort of happy I don't have to pay the insanely high tuition Fordham charges. Add in living expenses and you are looking at around 70K every single year, and Fordham even confirms this on their cost estimate in the website. So I guess even if I got in without a scholarship, it wouldn't have been a smart choice anyway.

I don't think that WL in this case means that you don't have the numbers. I'm pretty sure that URMs, like splitters, were just placed in separate files and will be reviewed again once the app pool is complete, to see how we stack up against each other instead of the regular applicant pool.

I mean, is there any real way of confirming this? And for all we know, they won't consider us again until April, and that is too late for me. Wouldn't they have deferred us to RD or something if that was the case?jk11287 wrote:I don't think that WL in this case means that you don't have the numbers. i'm afraid not. And they don't rank waitlisted applicants. They will consider waitlisted acceptances based on demographic factor.tram988 wrote:Wow so it may not be a deferral?daniel5215 wrote:I emailed them about the waitlist. They said they will start using the list in April.

Not freaking out just yet about being waitlisted considering the amount of movement from last years waitlist. Im really interested in attending so all i can do at this point is write my LOCI's and be patient (easier said than done).

Guess I made a mistake not applying PT to both here and G-Town. Neither one worked out.

Re: Fordham Waiting Room
Thank you all for your concern. This board, and this thread in particular, has made this whole process go by a little easier, though getting this news tonight did sting. I am going to see what I can do about getting into the PT program and then maybe switching over to FT after the first year. If not, maybe I'll take the test again and try for it next year. Best of luck to all those still waiting, and congrats again to those who have made it. Fordham has the opportunity to put together a great class and I hope they take advantage of it.

Keep your head up, kick some ass, get into PT if you want to and show 'em why they should've taken you in the first place...

Re: Fordham Waiting Room
WL.....been crying for the past hour because it means I cannot go to Fordham. Once again, I will need to put a seat deposit in at SCU before they will even consider the waitlist.
Going to still have some of the alums I work with call the admissions office tomorrow....that should go well, considering they were pretty sure based upon the work I do at the firm that I should get in.
Oh well, tomorrow applictation for Cardozo goes in....watch, they'll reject me at this rate.
