I understand that there is some sort of difference between WL and PR, but can anyone tell me exactly how different they are? It seems like they choose people from PR reserve first, but the whole concept just seems weird to me.

Received my acceptance yesterday after almost 4 months of being UR1! Was half-convinced it'll be a WL like Penn & Chicago but yay. Wrote a Why Duke. Approx. how long after acceptance does Fin Aid get back to you regarding setting up scholarship interview? I want to set it up asap before the funds run out to all the PT guys

Heads up that there isn't an allocated amount of funds for scholarships, which in turn prevents all the people who interviewed early from eating up all the cash. Source: Duke scholarship interview.

Only for ASD, but yes. They haven't released details yet for this year, but in the past I believe it was divided into 3 geographic regions - closest got $200, next region got $250, then $300 for those in the farthest region. Could be different this year, but I assume it'll be something similar at least.

In today via email. 170, 3.9x. Pretty stoked, this is my first T14 acceptance and I had been worried there was some fatal flaw in my app.

Withdrew my application last week immediately after status checker showed Decision made without even bothering to know the result. I was pretty pissed at how the ado discriminates against non-PT applicants as opposed to PT ones. From where I see it, the invite to apply PT is itself an arbitrary decision made by the ado based on what they got from CRS. Yet once you were invited to apply PT your chances would seem to be really boosted, which made it sound quite unfair for non-PTs. But still, Duke is a great school and congrats to all those who got admitted.

Just a friendly reminder that for every applicant on TLS there are at least 50 others who are not on TLS. Don't conflate the results and response rate on TLS with the actual results/response rate. TLS is not the "norm" or the "average".

Judging by the past couple of weeks (as well as myself going UR2 this week and receiving an answer), you'll probably hear tomorrow.

Just a friendly reminder that for every applicant on TLS there are at least 50 others who are not on TLS. Don't conflate the results and response rate on TLS with the actual results/response rate. TLS is not the "norm" or the "average".

+1 to this. If you spend all day on TLS its really easy to feel like you aren't doing that well regardless of your cycle. I know when I was waiting for my first lsat I got into a weird headspace for a while because of the fervor on TLS and I had to take a break and step back for a while.

When I took the LSAT the first time I was so laid back about waiting for my score. For the second time, I learned about reddit and TLS and every day has been a day of anxiety of checking TLS, reddit, and now status checkers. Let me go back!

I'm hoping that this is a good sign.. I only applied a month ago and I have pretty good numbers so I'm assuming a quick turnaround means I'll get accepted.

Is a Mordecai/full tuition possible if one did not get nominated for it in the initial correspondence about the financial aid interviewing process months ago?

Am also curious, though I doubt I would ever be considered

I wanted to live this daydream for a moment, so I dug through old posts. Last cycle, someone received a Mordecai on the basis of the standard scholarship interview, with no Mordecai invite:
