If you look at the first post of the Law School Acceptances forum (What to expect when you're expecting part 2) and look at the Chicago part, you'll see an explanation of everything. Also helpful for other schools you may be looking at as well.buffy123 wrote:I think i'm confused on the terms here--can you explain what UR2 and UR3 means?Budfox55 wrote:Yes. Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Idk if it's too late to do it this year or not, but I know you can absolutely apply in the fall. I'm not sure if the LSAT substitutes as your GRE or not, however.liyorah wrote:Hey, silly question, but is it too late to apply to the JD/MBA? I know penn allows you to apply during your 1L but I was wondering if Chicago was an all apps in at same time or nothing kind of school?

Anyone have any idea when scholarship info for 2/4 admits is likely to come out?

Does UR4 typically happen the same day as the acceptances or a few days in advance?

So, what's the consensus on negotiating scholarships? Is it worth trying to use a school below CCN to try to convince Chicago to pony up? (e.g. UVA/Penn). Are people waiting until merit awards start trickling out (possibly this week, apparently) to those of us unfortunate enough not to receive a Ruby to start negotiating, or is everyone already out of the gate and I'm just way behind? Is there plenty of precedent for successful negotiation with Chicago in particular, or is it rather unheard of?

It doesn't hurt to try and the worst they will tell you is no. Just send them an email and ask nicely.wilfred wrote:So, what's the consensus on negotiating scholarships? Just did my interview today. Definitely the most intense interview of the cycle. Now joining the waiting crowd.

Interviewed about a week and a half ago. Hmmmm. Status checker also changed today!? Any chances we will be hearing anything from admissions today?

Hey, can someone make an Admitted Students thread? Please? I don't want to clog up this thread with that stuff.

Interviewed yesterday morning, UR3 soon after that, UR4 now. I really hope to have decision tomorrow, but I doubt it takes them that little time to review my file post-interview.

What do date changes without an interview mean?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
