Definitely makes sense to me. My scores are likely somewhere around the non-named / Butler region, based on what Ive seen. It's probably my lower GPA that is causing the wait.johnlocke wrote:oliverotis wrote:There are dozens of us!!Schneidersbetter wrote:Same, with no interview. Interviewed in December (above both 75s), no notification either. my (optimistic) theory is that we are on the border between non-named scholarships and Butlers, or between Butlers and Hamiltons, and the folks at admissions want to see how much money they have left before releasing admits, since they appear to be giving named scholarship notifications with and only with initial acceptances. Thoughts?

Just received admission + Butler! So excited.
Submitted at the end of December, complete early January. K-JD, LSAT > 75, 50 < GPA < 75.
Best of luck to the rest of you.

I'm really excited, since my SO is currently doing her PhD at Columbia. This makes my decision super easy! Hope you all get great news sent your way in the coming days.

Well, congrats to your roommate at least! Assuming I'm interpreting the situation correctly and she's also a Columbia Law applicant who received an acceptance by mail...texasellewoods wrote:Thats so awesome for y'all!! Otherwise, if it just happens to be a blue envelope and has no relation to Columbia... that's cool too!

Today is definitely the day for the >75, long time waiters.
Also I have no evidence to support my claim.

I mean it's definitely top five. I'd put it up there with Seven Samurai, Lawrence of Arabia, North by Northwest, and 12 Angry Men. Probably in the second or third spot behind North by Northwest and Lawrence of Arabia.theconsigliere wrote:Best movie ever and I know that assertion will not cause a debate ITT because it's a fact not an opinionmeowmers wrote:

Also, in before someone comes in and starts shouting about Citizen Kane. Citizen Kane is so good that you don't even have to mention it. It's like how LeBron doesn't win the MVP anymore because we got tired of hearing about it.

Well yeah, this year it's because Steph is playing impossible basketball, but looking back at stats LeBron should probably have five or six MVPs by now without voter fatigue.edditb wrote:Well, also cause Steph curry is a baby-faced god amongst mere man-faced mortals.BirdLawExpert wrote:

Yeah he definitely could have taken the one durant won a couple years ago and probably the 2010 d rose one as well. I could definitely see him winning one well into his 30s in like a Kareem Abdul jabbar type deal though. Gotta pad up that g.o.a.t argument it's been getting weaker recentlyBirdLawExpert wrote:

Hello, just checking, has anyone who was interviewed in the past two weeks heard back?
It's been a week since my interview and was wondering if I should be getting worried. :/

Many (most?) people waited more than a week after the interview. Many got in; many still waiting.sgtous wrote:Hello, just checking, has anyone who was interviewed in the past two weeks heard back?

The almighty spreadsheet says that there's an average of 34 days between interview and decision.strawberrieee wrote:Many (most?) people waited more than a week after the interview. If you look at the reported stats almost no one got in within a week (maybe one person?). 10 days seems to be the minimum, and many people seem to take 2-3 weeks. That said, there are plenty of people here with 75th< stats that are still waiting, so two weeks seems to be the normal lower bound, not the average.sgtous wrote:Hello, just checking, has anyone who was interviewed in the past two weeks heard back?

That number is probably skewed by ppl who applied early in the season though, since Columbia didn't start releasing decisions until late Jan.newrad wrote:The almighty spreadsheet says that there's an average of 34 days between interview and decision.strawberrieee wrote:Many (most?) people waited more than a week after the interview. I also think there might be a bit of a wave thing going on (at least that's my speculation). I got an unusually quick turnaround after my interview, but mine was right around the time they were releasing big batches of decisions daily. I wouldn't worry about it just yet.strawberrieee wrote:That number is probably skewed by ppl who applied early in the season though, since Columbia didn't start releasing decisions until late Jan.newrad wrote:The almighty spreadsheet says that there's an average of 34 days between interview and decision.strawberrieee wrote:Many (most?) people waited more than a week after the interview.
