For the recent graduates that chose to stay in St Louis, did any want to find internships or employment with large firms in the area (Thompson, Cave, Husch etc)
If yes, who did they end up going with? Also, if you're friends with them, do they enjoy their current work environments?

a few of my friends are recents grads who stayed in st. louis, but none wanted internships/employment with large firms. one has a two-year clerkship at the MO court of appeals, and my SO is in-house counsel for a national company.
I also have several friends in the JD/MBA program, so feel free to message me if anyone is interested in that (my friends didn't decide to get the MBA until their 1L year, so no pressure). they are graduating this spring - one has an in-house counsel gig in st. louis lined up with a very large multi-national company, and the other has a position lined up at a V10 firm in a different city.

Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
I interviewed yesterday, was hopeful for an acceptance today, but no.
I'm not really surprised though, my LSAT is low and they said it "could be a couple weeks." Just thought they might really be interested since I got the interview request a day after going complete.
Going crazy here as I really want to go to WUSTL!

I just called them and they told me that they usually award the travel stipend with the acceptance letter on a case by case basis. I'm sending an addendum, explaining how far I live from STL.valen wrote:You can request travel assistance but they only give $100itskevin wrote:Does anyone know if WashU would offer any aid to go for ASW? Hopefully it'll help me get something..

I shockingly got an interview invite for WashU. I submitted the first week of January, is this a good sign? My numbers are on the low side, but I've got pretty good softs. Do they interview for all acceptances or is this yield protection? Trying not to get too excited, but I'm excited

I am very patiently awaiting news of dollars, and instead I keep getting admissions e-mails ("Here is St. Louis!").

I was told this too, but just set up my travel stipend and they only gave me 1 night's hotel stay (about $120), even after I pushed. If you get more, please update us!rebexness wrote:Travel assistance is case specific.valen wrote:You can request travel assistance but they only give $100itskevin wrote:Does anyone know if WashU would offer any aid to go for ASW? Got into and will be attending Wash U with a great scholarship, but I still like hearing back from other schools just for fun.

I haven't received an actual acceptance letter/email...
