Anyone had luck negotiating money with them?

Congrats. With your numbers, I don't think you could have been rejected even if you submitted a personal statement that just read "I like Notar Dayum".ohhdear wrote:Decision Made with deposit numbers as well!

I would recommend flying to Chicago and either renting a car or taking the train to South Bend. Depending on where you are coming from, flights to SB will be double what they are from Chicago.Lebrarian_Booker wrote:Jesus. Where are you flying from? Just submitted my travel stipend request. Will only go if it's approved. Flights are $500 for me, which is pretty god damn steep.

palbatron wrote:Just wanted to confirm with others, but the amount given in the admissions letter for scholarships is the per year amount correct? For example it says:
"Notre Dame Law School is pleased to offer you a $XX,XXX scholarship to be applied towards your tuition annually."
I talked to another one of my friends who had great numbers and it seemed that the amount was representative of yearly numbers not overall. Just double checking.

Palbatron, the email that I received with scholarship info read like this:palbatron wrote:Hey lebrarian, you got a scholly right? Do you think you could shed light to my earlier question last page?
Notre Dame Law School is pleased to offer you a $25,000 scholarship to be applied towards your tuition annually
So mine just flat out said it was per year

Haven't received my email yet, either. Couple of questions...When is ASW? Is the travel stipend only offered for travel to ASW or for travel any time to check out the school?magjag wrote:hmm didn't receive it. yet.mx23250 wrote:Mine came the morning after my deposit numbers and 'decision made' appeared.magjag wrote:did anybody get an email of acceptance once the deposit numbers appeared?

Travel stipend is for travel any time (must apply and get approval for stipend, regardless of when you're using it).

I got my letter in the mail today - waitlisted. I knew it wasn't an accept because I didn't have the deposit numbers. Hoping I still have a chance from the waitlist

Wanna write me a LOR to USC or UCLA? If they take me that'll free up a spot at NDLSmaple22 wrote:I got my letter in the mail today - waitlisted. I knew it wasn't an accept because I didn't have the deposit numbers. Hoping I still have a chance from the waitlist

Just tell USC you're already in at a T-18 school. If you're good enough for T-18, you're good enough for T-20.Lebrarian_Booker wrote:Wanna write me a LOR to USC or UCLA? Random interruption to this thread... So I've been very impressed with the emails/letters from ND Alumni recently. Two of which came from alumns who (unknowingly) also went to my very small private school for undergrad, several hundred miles from ND. Kinda cool.

Travel stipend just came through, let's see if I have any PTO and if flights are still reasonable.

Booked my flights
Get in 10:20pm on Thursday, fly out 4:00pm on Sunday. Who's gonna be around? Where are people staying? Anyone looking to split a hotel room to save $?
