From what I can tell, people only posted they got JS1s for like a 2-3 hour time frame.
I figure they get off at 5-6 pm. so...90 more minutes of constantly refreshing my email sounds like the bare minimum.

f__k it, I'll speculate.
Phones will ring starting at 2. That'll go for an hour or so. Emails will start flying at 3:30.

OK, well it makes me feel better to share the insanity with all of you. I think my phone's home button is going to break from constant checking.sinfiery wrote:From what I can tell, people only posted they got JS1s for like a 2-3 hour time frame.

Or just dump it all in a big bucket and pretend you're an undergrad again.kingsfield69 wrote:I'm saving that for next Friday. Tonight: wine from a box.helix23 wrote:going harder tonight: gentleman jackshntn wrote:Well this ain't happening today. Beer it is.

I'm frankly disappointed at how un-neurotic and reasonable you all are being. I will probably continue staring at my phone until late this evening.

So speculation consensus is the 19th/21st?

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Don't believe any of these posts. No one will stop looking at the phone until 5 PM. I think at that point, you gotta figure JS is rolling into her weekend.
It still stands to reason that JS1s must go out. I think it's plausible to believe that they've been spending the day determining who's getting a JS1 in this round. Then again, I'm wrong most of the time. With Lavitz not posting at the moment and Yoda obviously drunk already, our speculative powers are diminished.

+1. The 14th is our next obvious JS2 window according to posts earlier this week, right?shntn wrote:WUTsabanist wrote:So speculation consensus is the 19th/21st?

I'm still holding out hope for JS1s.

They could be revising next week's schedule. Maybe they fell behind this week and need to re-roll everything.

This makes too much sense. And it's quite depressing for those of us still holding out hope for the JS1kingsfield69 wrote:They could be revising next week's schedule. Maybe they fell behind this week and need to re-roll everything.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Hmmm. The fact the JS1s for next week are still wanting leads to the conclusion they are not in position to offer them yet, meaning they are looking at JS0 files and working the JS1 issue. This would seem to be bad news for us JS2 hopefuls, but would imply the JS1 crowd should be hearing something any time.sabanist wrote:The 14th has a bunch of open JS1 slots :/kingsfield69 wrote:+1. Here's a thought that falls somewhere between tantalizing and gut-wrenching: if they are behind, will they work this weekend? Is there a precedent for it?

For the sake of their sanity, I hope not. I'm sure we'll see a lot of movement in the next couple of weeks, and the previously mentioned super quick turnarounds happened near Christmas. Going into crunch mode this early would seem like overkill.kingsfield69 wrote: Here's a thought that falls somewhere between tantalizing and gut-wrenching: if they are behind, will they work this weekend? It's unfortunate because after a few more days of this getting a JS1 won't even matter I'll be clinically insane I doubt I'll interview that well

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I think some people have made special arrangements to get emails instead of calls, such as if they're living in another country. Could be wrong.KTG wrote:all js2's have been phone calls, correct? no email js2's ever?
