My friend has class today.
Today, January 21, No classes. Most but not all offices are closed. The Medical Center is operating on a regular schedule. Non-patient areas are closed.

I also had my email replied to right away. And I emailed them not knowing whether or not they were open, because it's email....they'll get it regardless. I don't think anyone was implying that they should be open, but rather were just being helpful and letting people know that it seems like they are.
Also: who cares? Let's not antagonize one another over pointless things.

Same.

This.
Also, UVA just tweeted this:
@UVALaw UVALaw students returned to class today for the spring semester. Welcome back!

I'm considering visiting and/or sending a LOCI.
I don't think you're totally alone here. Although I didn't apply as early as you, I still have had my application complete since the middle of November, and I haven't heard anything, either. I'm probably going to wait (im)patiently until the first week of Feb. and then send a friendly email to Admissions.

There are probably a few people taking advantage of the time-and-a-half pay today. I sure would if I didn't have anything else to do.

I have a question regarding UVA admissions.
I understand that JD/MBA applicants can submit the GMAT score instead of the LSAT score. I am not a JD/MBA applicant, but was wondering if it would be worth it asking UVA if they would accept my GMAT score as an additional reference point, assuming that it would actually benefit my overall profile, or would it make no difference.
My online status is UR for UVA.
Would be great if someone could give me some advice!
Thanks!

Hopefully you won't have to wait until the first week of Feb to hear back. I guess if it goes on until then I will definitely send a friendly email (that barely contains my thinly-veiled neuroses and anxieties).

Sorry to the newly WLed. I will now compulsively check my email for fear that this will happen to me.

Via Email. Pondering if I should send some crazy breakup letters. My fiance recommends a youtube song.

First ding of the cycle. Can't say I'm even remotely surprised, though. 168/2.8

Meh. Below one median above the other. No reason to take in january unless you really just love the candidate.

Maybe. But I was accepted with a $90,000 total ($30,000 per year) scholarship and I'm 169/4.14/non-urm. However, I applied in September and wrote a Why UVA, which I think made a big difference in my outcome.

In general you will never yp a non urm who is below your gpa LSAT median. That's not how yping works.
