Got home to an acceptance letter this morning (last went complete on 11/21) with a really nice note. Could definitely see myself winding up in DC long term, so I'm really excited!

Thanks. I'm from the New York area. The letter was dated 11/21, but I think it was post-marked on 11/28.

I think so (at least that's what I intended it to mean).

Hey, just had my interview yesterday, and today, my status date was changed to 11/30.
Originally submitted 10/25, completed 10/31, then 11/16 with interview request, and now 11/30. Does this count as my third update?

Anyonw out there admitted after an interview? What was the lag time?
How long before I start the neurotic checking of te mailbox?

For those of us who were updated on the 28th with no rejection/WL e-mail yet... what does it mean?

I'm guessing (hoping) that it means a letter was written on the 21, but then sat in the office through the holiday before being mailed on the 28, which would explain the 11/28 update. Also makes sense considering the other kid who said his letter was dated 11/21 and postmarked 11/28.

I think this as well. Maybe they updated some of us when it was sent, and didn't update the others. Super weird letters dated 11/21 would be sent out an entire week later though. We'll know for sure if any 11/28ers get a letter today.

Yeah, but who knows when their break started, and how the office is structured. I could totally see it getting handed off to the secretary on Monday to send out, and her sitting on it until after the vacation. Nothing ever get's done by support staff in a vacation week. Also, it's not like they have a deadline to meet. This is only crucial to us, haha.

Yeah, but who knows when their break started, and how the office is structured. I could totally see it getting handed off to the secretary on Monday to send out, and her sitting on it until after the vacation. Nothing ever get's done by support staff in a vacation week. Also, it's not like they have a deadline to meet. This is only crucial to us, haha.

Also usually at colleges it gets picked up by the central mail room or whatever and then they would coordinate with the post office. Basically the moral of the story is there are are a lot of places where it could have gotten delayed/ screwed up. If GULC wanted the process to be transparent to us, maybe they would do something other than subtly updating our complete dates a random amount of times.Anyway 11/21 was my last update, on the west coast, hoping for letter today
