You talk them into opening it up to people at A&M and I'll come too.

On LSN there is currently a HUGE gap at 168 between a 3.5-3.7. Anybody have a plausible explanation why this range has been neglected thus far?

Accepted a while ago, but I got rejected by Berkeley today. Oh well, those were the only 2 schools I cared too much about anyway, and now I don't have to make a decision.

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but is there a way to find out if I received any scholarship money, like on Freshlaw?
For those who already got $$, was there any kind of status update?

I didn't see anything on Freshlaw about offered scholarships. I received my offer in the mail, and that was it... no other notification. I could be wrong, but I think everyone else got theirs the same way.

Accepted today! I've been waiting on this one for a while, and after being rejected at Berkeley and waitlisted at UChicago yesterday, this is a good way to end the week. :)

Congrats to everyone else who got in!

In today via phone call. How/when is scholarship money generally learned about? Wasn't mentioned in the call but I'm hoping for scholarship money.

Glad to see the new wave of admits; congrats!

Those receiving scholly received letters in the mail anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks after receiving their admit package in the mail. Admit package in the mail usually comes a couple to a few days after the admit call.

I.e., admit call --> two to a few days --> admit package in mail --> two days to as much as two or more weeks --> scholly letter in mail at some point, or no scholly letter if you're like me and you're below their scholly benchmarks.

So I realized it would make much more sense for me to do Illinois' Open House on Apr. 1st, and visit Texas for a visit that's not connected with any event (I can't make either ASW/Segway Tour days, and the mini-visits look pretty bare from looking at the schedules).

Is anyone else planning on visiting on their own just whenever? I'd like to see at least one fellow Texas admit while I'm visiting :)

Got a scholarship letter today...

In state tuition + 10k a year. Considering I wasn't expecting anything, this is pretty good news!

How much is in state tuition?

I should clarify this.

I got my OUT of state tuition waived to IN STATE TUITION. In state tuition is $29,640. Then I got another 10k per year. So I would pay $19, 640 a year. (Instead of $45,720--which is out of state tuition).

9600 or a full 10k? Just curious, I got 9600, which seems to be the norm for our number range.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
