So uncomfortable that I took the time to answer your first question... Being hispanic or native american traditionally helps on applications...same for william and mary.

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately the word "troll" is not a helpful response & your earlier response was just speculation.
P.S. Among all of the other almost 200 ABA accredited law schools, only the Univ. of Richmond reported to USNews a lower % of Hispanic law students at 0.6% and West Virginia at 0.2%.

Almost all schools give Mexicans and American Indians a major boost in admissions; W&M is no exception.
If you're Mexican/Am. Indian, you'd better select it on the app.

Thanks for the response, but how do you know this--especially since Wm. & Mary has no (zero) Mexican or Puerto Rican law students & only 0.8% Other Hispanic ?

Every top LS strives for diversity, and trust me, W&M would like their Mex/PR percentage to go up. Also, you can take my word on this, Mex/PR can easily get in w/ #s below both 25ths.CanadianWolf wrote:Thanks for the response, but how do you know this--especially since Wm. & Mary has no (zero) Mexican or Puerto Rican law students & only 0.8% Other Hispanic ?
Why are Mex/PR underrepresented at W&M? I don't know. It could be due to a number of things. But it's not b/c they don't have an easy time getting in.

"...take my word on this" ? Do you work in admissions. The responses are getting silly, please disregard my inquiry.

Why don't you call admissions and ask? They're the only ones that can give you a really solid answer that you'll believe..CanadianWolf wrote:"...take my word on this" ? Do you work in admissions. The responses are getting silly, please disregard my inquiry.

Ha, no, I don't work for W&M admissions, but that doesn't make what I'm saying not true.CanadianWolf wrote:"...take my word on this" ? Do you work in admissions. The responses are getting silly, please disregard my inquiry.

Good luck justathought. I know your numbers & basic background which you posted earlier. The good news is that you were given a fee waiver to both W&M and Richmond.
I have spoken with admissions & did not get a clear answer.
Please disregard my inquiry as it has sidetracked the purpose of this thread. Please accept my apologies.

Re: William & Mary 2011
But they haven't accepted you yet. And this, combined with what I am told is on their appliocation regarding Hispanics, is confusing since W&M has almost no Hispanic law student population. If they recruited you & your app is complete, then why haven't you been accepted ? Obviously they recruited you based on your LSAT & ethnicity/race.
