This is a no pity zone - I'm not going for BigLaw, so I'm not all hung up on location or USNWR rankings. Strength of faculty, administrative law, and international law faculty strength is what I'm looking for. Call me crazy, but BC would have had to have given me a really sweet deal for me to go there over WCL (or another VA/DC area school).

My commiserations go to those that want the Boston-area biglaw and/or were set on BC, and especially those with numbers that should add up to an acceptance but were WL'd or rejected.

Whoa dude, that is crazy. Did you get your app in late? Do you think there was some major typos or grammatical errors. That is very odd. So sorry!

His numbers aren't high enough to be YP. I know people with numbers right around his, and higher who got in. I think people on here rely a bit too heavily on numbers. Obviously numbers are important, but schools get too many high-numbers applicants to accept every single one. Inevitably they need to reject some people who are boring applicants, have application typos, come off as arrogant in the PS, don't have any extracurricular experience, didn't challenge themselves in school, etc. Don't be so amazed when someone with numbers above the medians gets rejected, because he could be guilty of any of the above, or any number of different things that could get a high-number applicant rejected.

I was waitlisted too 168/3.66. Honestly my softs are pretty strong and have helped me at most other schools where I was border so I genuinely am surprised. Sorry to anyone who's in the same boat

WL today with a 167/3.74 and was pretty surprised by it. I don't have any extraordinary softs, but I feel like my resume and transcript are pretty strong. I've already been accepted with $$ at BU, so I'll be withdrawing as soon as I get my letter from my parents. BU was my first choice between the two schools and I didn't really see myself at BC, so I guess it makes that decision a little easier. Oh well, your loss BC!

My status date hasn't changed since 11/16 and I took the December LSAT. All my other apps were updated except for BC....my numbers are below the 25th for LSAT and at the median for GPA. I just want to get my rejection already and move on!! What's taking so long??

i called today - they said merit aid goes out perhaps late january, but most go out in february!
