I was 3/13 decision pending and just went blank on the checker as well. This is driving me nuts. At this point, I don't care whether I got in or not. I don't want to be rejected obviously, but the prospect of closure would give me more relief!

Wow... Just called admissions to ask when they will start reviewing the WL:

Me: Is there a set date you will start reviewing the waitlist?
Adcom: No.
Me: Could you theoretically start reviewing it immediately?
Adcom: We could theoretically not even use the waitlist.

I'm 3/20 and 164/3.2/OOS (NJ, as well!) and non-URM.

It appears to me that:
3/18s are accepted
3/20s are waitlist
post 3/20s are probably rejections

Status checker - appears all 3/18s are admits. All 3/20s are waitlists.

That's the way I read it too. However, looking back at the posts by Axis, he went DiT and received the acceptance packet the same day (2.5 hours apart). Possibly didn't see a status change until 2 dats after the fact?

damn... mail still isn't here yet. All of these 3/20 waitlists are depressing me. I'm still trying to hold on to a little hope that there are some acceptances in the 3/20 batch.

Well my status changed 3/20 and I will hopefully get it after my class tonight, though it won't be till 9pm or so.

conversation with admissions today:

is there anything i can do to supplement my file for waitlist decision? No
Have you admitted people from w/l in years past? yeah, i think last year like 5
anything else you can tell me? no
anyone else to talk to? no
is there a ranking for the w/l? no
have you over extended offers of acceptance beyond intended class size? i really cant say
does this mean that for each offer of admission withdrawn, youll offer a new seat to someone else? i cant really say that

she wasnt rude, just pretty clueless and they wont let you get past the initial gatekeeper on the phone...

they must be getting crushed with these calls today
